Trigun by far. It is an anime that not only ends strong but doesn't go on forever. I haven't seen any obvious repeats(like most "popular" anime).
And it is entertaining every episode

Fullmetal Panic! the first season just because it has everything. Great animation, comedy, action, etc.
(Cowboy Bebop is a close second, along with GTO)

At the moment... Full Metal Alchemist.
I got the box set for my birthday plus the movie and its just so funny to watch.
And when one episode finishes you just have to watch another.
Im not a fan of Naruto anymore... I got all the episodes and then I got bored.
And now Im into Bleach. Because its super stressed

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto.
So quiet and thoughtful in moments of peace, yet so powerful when war breaks out. I got a little disturbed at the bits involving religion, but when you ignore it - and remember the fast-forward button as your friend -, it's all good.
Also, I want to applaud the fantastic English dubbing work that was done for Trigun - it was the one and only dub I've seen yet that did it right without majorly upsetting the original Japanese content.

Galuka Rorouni Kenshin Samurai, Action, a bit of comedy, yu-yu-hakusho is second because- great storyline, great characters. BUT WHY DID THEY HAVE TO CANCEL THESE SHOWS?!?!?!?!?!?! To make way for new titles. I miss seeing RK on TV. crying I have a few episodes on disk, but it's so expensive. Have you seen Samurai X? Doesn't have the comedy of RK, but the story and animation are good 3nodding @Flypipe: Does it have an English title yet?

anime huh... I like Jigoku Shoujo. I also like Bokura ga ita (very girly hehe).
yakitate japan is really funny. =D ah Elfen Lied is good too.
my personal favorite: Ichigo Mashimaro (strawberry marshmallow)
so adorable!!!! cute cute cute! the manga is very random too hehe.
oh i have a lot of favorites though so i am not gonna list them here.

Hmm... I can't pick just one. I've got a tie between a few.
Cardcaptor Sakura- While it may be old and somewhat girly... the show makes me laugh, cry and no matter how many times I watch it I actually enjoy it.
Fruits Basket- It's a funny romance that holds a twist. A lot of people turn into animals... what's not to love?
Utena- Sword fights, awesome music, and ChuChu! heart

Ekirin Cardcaptor Sakura- While it may be old and somewhat girly... the show makes me laugh, cry and no matter how many times I watch it I actually enjoy it.
What I was watching was the Chinese dub, not the English dub, so I got to see it as the Japanese version made it, while still understanding what was being said. So when I say I'm offended by the English dub, I know what I'm talking about. -_-;
It in turn laid out the foundation for me to like my friend's Tsubasa Chronicle collection. Interesting stuff. XD
