Rika had gotten her fill of shoe chewing for the day. A pair of old sneakers, well what had once been a pair of old sneakers, lay in her masters closet. She knew what she had done was wrong but the leather was just so good. With out thinking she quickly ducked down stairs and out the door. Possibly to avoid punishment, possibly to locate her next pair of shoes; truth be told Rika didnt know.
Out side she was greeted with a freshly risen sun that seemed a bit to orange to trust. Today was going to be a hot day in the city. She knew back in the realm it was the oppisite, cold and snowy. A big reason why she was not in the kira realm at the moment was because of the cold. She couldnt take it, just the mere draft of an open window or the slight breeze made her shiver.
Continuing down the steps of her masters house she noticed a mail man rush by followed by an earth dog. A grin spread on her maw, how could earth dogs find so much entertainment chasing a mail man. It beat her.

Argus sniffed about the house, looking for his sister and wondering what she was up to. He followed her to the human realm to keep her safe, but he truly disliked it here, things were so solid and the underlying magic of their Kira realm was sorely missing.
He found the pair of sneakers she had hidden and huffed, then followed her trail outside. He didn't make his presence known at first, but just watched her. Licking his lips absently, he sat quietly, he much preferred the colder weather back home, but he loved his sister and watched over her. Of his siblings he was closest to her.
"Causing mischief again, Rika?"

The voice of her brother Argus nearly made her leap out her skin. Argus hated the human realm and it was always a wonder why he would come to it. Of course Rika didnt take the time to ponder this time, the sound of her brothers voice was always a sound she would warmly welcome.
"Well... I might have already caused some.." She admitted. Argus was always her favorite in the litter and she could never lie to her trusted brother. He was always easy to talk to about things and Rika was truly thankful for a brother like that.
"I chewed up masters shoes..." She confessed, "This time I made sure they werent masters favorite but still..." Shame swallowed up her innerards as she confessed this to her brother. How shameful for a Kira such as her self to subcome to habbits of an earth dog.

Argus chuckled and walked up to affectionately nuzzle his sister. "Yes, I saw. You know we could always return home for just a short while to eat?" He grinned at her, darting his eyes to look at her face, "If it's because you're hungry anyway."
He sat down and watched the dog chasing the mailman with disdain. "We're too valuable to master for him to forsake us muchly, but you should take more care. This world has rules we're still not use to." He sniffed the air gently, curious about the different smells.

It was true this world was different. It had a more heavy feel to it and a more intense set of rules. For one she wasnt seen by anyone but the master and other Kira (from time to time she would pass a human who had their secret companion with them) and her magic was greater in that world. Here she was lucky to get a spoon to fly three inches off the ground.
On the up side though it was warmer here and she had a liking to human shoes. She also got to spend time learning the culture here and got to see her master. The human world was strange and not a world a kira could live in all the time but it did have nice perks.
"I got a better idea," A hint of teasing was in her voice, "Lets go steal some hot dogs from the park." With that she started to trott down the sidewalk.

Argus grinned, hot dogs were one thing he did enjoy. It also pleased him to see the confused human acting so silly after they invisibly padded away with their prize.
He took a leap, tagging his sister with the edge of his nose, and began to sprint away, "Tag to you Rika!" He laughed brightly and sped through the throngs of people on the sidewalk, invisible to them, but his blue flashed by in the brilliant sun.

"H-hey!" She cried after her brother whom was now a good distance ahead of her. She sprinted off after her brother but she knew she couldnt catch up all the way. The amount of people living in this city made it almost impossible to build enough speed. She pushed and heaved her way threw people, most who didnt even look down when she shoved her way threw. Some did and had an almost priceless confused look on their face when they found nothing.
The park was near and she was only a few feet behind her brother. It was hopeless but the kira kept running and laughing still.

Argus laughed heartily the entire way and made a quick spin to hide behind a tree as he entered the park near the hot dog vendor. He laid down and became really quiet, a grin on his face. He patiently waited for Rika to catch up.

Rika turned into the park, her paws lightly tapping on the road as she did so. There was no sign of Argus though, it was as if he had vanished. Shocked she froze in the middle of the parks walking path.
"Argus?" She whispered a little scared, " A-Argus..? .. Dont tell me you left me high and dry.." The end of her sentence her voice had grown small. She wasnt scared of being alone in the human world, but she didnt like being left. Though she knew her brother would never really leave her deep down, the thought still scared her.

Argus' tail flicked back and forth quietly as he waited and then he came out from behind the tree and tackled his sister. "Boo!" he laughed as he got up to let her from underneath him.
He grinned as he bent down to nuzzle her cheek affectionately.

Rika found herself jumping in fright and than nuzzled by her elder brother.
"Wha- where di-did you appear from?" She was glad to see him again. It was a relief really, and she was glad to have him back. "You gave me quite a scare! I thought you had left me high and dry.."

Argus nuzzled his sister close again, licking her cheek. "I would never leave you like that, Rika." He smiled warmly at her, then put on a rather impish grin. "You were quite a sight though. I was just hiding behind that tree." He pointed at it and winked to her.
He looked over into the park and sniffed at the air, "Ooo, he just put on fresh ones that are now done."

Rika had opened her maw about to argue that she had not been a sight when her brother turned her attention to the fresh hot dogs. In fact her brother had been dead on, the man had just put on fresh franks. The smell made her mouth water slightly.
"Your right! And its all to easy seeing as they cant even see us eh? Lets just hope he is dumb," Rika nodded at her brother as she started on her way to move closer to the stand.

Argus tossed his hair in a confident way, with a mischievous grin on his face, "Aren't they always?" He padded away towards the hot dog vendor, not taking care to be stealthy since no one could see him, he only had to make sure he didn't bump anyone too roughly and draw attention to himself.
He winked at his sister Rika and sat patiently right next to the hot dog vendor, just close enough to snag a hot dog, but far enough away to not get accidentally bumped.

Rikas tail wagged and her tongue hang out as she watched. It was always exciting to be on a hot dog thieving with her brother. She watched as he dodged the passing people and skillfully got a ripe hot dog with out catching wandering eyes. Now it was her turn to sneak a frank and she couldnt be more pumped to steal.
The black and red kira slunk her way threw the crowd of people untouched making her way to the cart unscathed. Now the only thing left to do was get the frank with out someone seeing a floating hot dog. That meant to find a hot dog close enough to the edge to get. Not hard, she thought to her self. Scanning the cart she found a big fat frank hanging over the edge ever so slightly. Haha, this was all hers! She could taste the meat in her watering chaps and there was no way anything or anyone was going to deny her pleasure. With out another moment to lose the kira snagged it chomping into its fleshy pink skin. It was to die for so tender and juicy and.. uh oh
"GHOST!" A small child cried. She was spotted... or rather her frank was spotted. Rika quickly gobbled it up as the kid continued to tug at his mothers skirt and the mother continued to ignore the child as she ordered. To close, lucky a small child had seen it. Parents tended to write ghost cries off like the monster under the bed or in the closet. It was close but she should have been more careful.
Looking over at her brother Rika gave him an oops my bad smile.
