(( Zeig's profile has been added to the NPC thread. If you want, you can read up on his background there. ))
Where it all starts— The armies that was pulled together no more than two decades ago used to conquer King Revius is still high and mighty, and stronger than ever before. It wasn’t any help when one of the Commanders named Zeig Lephton, coincidentally stumbled across a legendary dragon egg while chasing after a dark lone figure in the woods (to this day, he explains it like the Gods had planted it there for him to find, since it happened all too conveniently), where it would later hatch in his hands. It was a shock to everyone, since dragons haven’t been heard of since… since… forever…
The title as Dragon Rider got him far. He was immediately made First in Command, and thereafter was always by the Leader’s side. And soon after they finally conquered one of their worst of enemies that they've been fighting against for years, Zeig was announced to be the future of the Verexin Tribe as their future Head Leader. But, the Leader “tragically” died a few years later while him and a few of his buddies were hunting—many of which included Zeig.
Now, five years have passed since Zeig has taken on what was left to him, and has proven to be even better than the last Leader. Anyone who defiles him or anyone who makes a simple mistake faces sudden death. Him and his armies show no mercy, not like their prey expects it from them. They are the most feared of all. And only after two decades of conquering landmark after landmark, they have gained their whole province, nor do they show any signs of stopping there...
In a remote area, a city that’s been avoiding Zeig for a good amount of time has had plenty of time to think about where they lie (for or against Zeig as their "King"), so Zeig and his armies have finally come to them to demand their answers, leaving them with only two choices. One option is to accept him as their King (meaning they hand everything over to him. They do this mostly for taxes…). Their second option is to perish like all the other cities they’ve managed to pillage before them, whether it takes months or even years….
What’s Planned— Where we take off is in that very city—before they know anything about Zeig and his legion coming. The city is the home base of an Underground that’s doing everything they can to stop Zeig, which isn’t very much at this point. What can you do against the only known Dragon Rider in the world?
What I have planned is for all of us to find our own dragon eggs (with time…) along our adventure, just as Zeig and his people will gain more dragon’s as they go, so it all comes out to a Dragon’s War.
But, the whole point of this is to kill Zeig Lephton, the guy who’s trying to take over everything known to man.
What's uh-happenin'— So far as I understand it, Mark is part of the Underground. He also found a dragon egg a while ago, and hid it for it's own safety. Meanwhile, he took everyone to a warehouse that housed a transporter, and used it to transport them to outside the city without being detected. They now sit and wait for further instructions...
(( If there's anything incorrect here, just PM me my mistakes, and I'll fix it... ))

Adrelus walks up to the town, still disoriented from the last few days. Ever since he arrived at this land from the ship, he was branded a traitor to some Leftun guy. He glances around the city, wondering if it really is still free from this maniacal ruler. He sighs, and passes the gate, knowing that his only option is to enter the town since he's out of food. He heads for a likely looking inn, ready for a brawl that seems to happen the first time in every town.
(Profile's not made yet... But it will be made soon.)

The heat was starting to ebb away as the sun slowly started to sink behind the mountains set in the west. There wasn’t a single cloud that protruded the now darkening skies, but there was that feeling that clung to the thick air that said it was going to rain.
Brin walked along the many shops and inns that lined the streets, noting to herself that there weren’t many people from out of town. She’d been observing the area since she arrived, seeing that not many people hung out in the streets to stop and talk with others. No one said much of anything really except for the people working out some kind of deal in the market. But it was that time of day when both children and adults quietly but intently made their own ways home after another day of hard work. There wasn’t much for excitement at all, it seemed.
Despite the rumors that started to leak out across the lands, it didn’t look much like a place that would stand up against the most notorious of Kings that was nothing but a threat to every living thing. She decided that it was best that she would at least help herself to a plate of food and catch a good night’s sleep before she would think about leaving.
The sky was nearly at its darkest when Brin finally chose the Inn she would stay in for that night, which happened to be one of the closest buildings to the front most gates, only because it didn’t seem as crowded as all the other Inns did—not that the Inn wasn’t considered crowded. Without a moment’s hesitation, she pushed the door to the Inn open, and stepped inside. She didn’t pay any attention to any of the people who starred after her as though it was a normal routine, and made her way to an empty table that sat in front of the fire… How convenient… she thought to herself, a slight smirk settled across her face.
(( I shouldn’t have asked that of anybody, but thanks for doing it anyway. I should have known better that I had to set the setting and all that fun stuff first… ))

Mark walked into the tavern. His armor making not a single sound, even though he wore a full suit. His hand-and-a-half sword was sheathed at his waist, and there were four belsts of throwing knives draped around his body. Despite his armor and weapon, he seemed to have an almost serene quality about him. He looked around when he stepped in, and spotted a table that was empty. He quickly walked over to it, and had a serving woman bring him some food. He tipped the poor girl with a gold coin, even though the meal was only five half pennies.

Sitting down at the table, Adrelus looks around. He notices several people who would be warriors, but no one who seemed likely to fight him. Oh well. He thinks to himself. It's probably better that I don't get into a fight first thing anyways.

She wasn’t sure how long she sat there for as the waitress repeatedly tried getting her attention with a light “Excuse me, Miss,”, but ended up banging her fist hard enough on the table to avert Brin’s attention to her. Brin noticed earlier in the market that her money was already low, so she only ordered herself a pint of ale. The second the waitress turned away, her eyes strayed back to the fire, but listened to some of the conversations that were going on around her.
She didn’t really expect much from eavesdropping, but from the way it sounded, this town was full of drama… She wouldn’t have guessed it while she was outside…
(( The most tedious of parts… trying to get the characters together… >_> Anyhow, once we manage to triumph that part, then I'll take us to the next scene... Meanwhile, I'll be typing that up... ))

Mark looked around, aware that this would be the best place for somekind of ambush. He had memorized the faces of the underground reistance movement. He looked at the girl who had just ordered the ale, and then moved over to her table. "So, what are you doing in this tavern?" He asked quietly as he passed her by. Louder, so as not to attract any attention, he asked, "Do you mind if I sit here, this is the best table here?"

Adrelus is ordering something from the waitress, when something catches his eye. He looks over, dismissing the waitress with a "Come back in a second." The object of his gaze is two people, obviously warriors. That explains why no one's brawled with me yet, there are guards in this tavern. I could probably take them though...

Brin snapped her gaze from the fire to meet the strangers, sort of taken aback by the question, besides the fact that he was the only person that said anything without her having to say something first. She pushed herself up so that she sat straight in her chair, and nodded for him to sit.
“I’ve been traveling for a good period of time.” She started. The waitress shimmied her way through the crowd, placed the mug of ale in front of Brin, and disappeared just as quick as she had appeared. “I’m just looking for a… better night’s sleep…” Her voice trailed off, but she ended it with a swig of her ale. She was sure to choose her words carefully, since she learned the hard way a while back that there wasn’t anyone that she could trust.
She took a quick glance around, and noticed that there were more prying eyes, and it made her wonder who exactly was sitting in front of her. “Why does one need to know?” She asked, leaning forward in her chair, the mug sitting motionless in her hands.

"I wish for exitement." Mark said, leaning back. The chair didn't even groan under his weight, which indictated either his armor was as thin as paper, or enchanted. "But that's besides the point. I saw you at... the..." Mark was trying unsuccesfully to try to tell her where he saw her before, but not reveal the location to any listeners.

She snorted a laugh. You’ve come to the wrong person if you’re looking for excitement… She thought as she shook her head. But the smile that remained on her face slowly started to dissipate once he acknowledged seeing her before. She didn’t care where he saw her, the fact that he saw her before and was sitting in front of her now said enough. He didn’t seem much of a threat, since they were just sitting there in a civilized manner, so she didn’t treat it like one.
Brin’s brows raised in astonishment as she took another swig of ale. “I haven’t been here for a day, and I’m already being followed?” Repeating his move, she leaned back in her chair, her hands still clasped around the mug. “OK. So you got my attention. What do you want from me?”

(( Some background info… And I don't plan on giving you guys a lot of really long posts like this >_< ))
(( Oh. I've named the town Lieria, and the king is now King Gargoth. ))
Darkness had taken its place. There were few lights that streamed from inside of taverns and homes, but it was just enough for the scouts to make it up to the castle. There were only two of them that quickly made their way through the streets with silent feet. Both of them looked more tense than anything as they scanned the area around them for any threats. They said they wouldn’t attack until dawn… One of them thought, thinking about what had happened no more than 10 minutes ago.
As King Gargoth had suspected, Zeig has finally come knocking on their “front door,” demanding that Gargoth hands everything over to Zeig, and everything against him and his people will be dismissed. If not… there wouldn’t be much of a city left by the time Zeig and his men are marching back home.
They were doing their usual scouting routine. Everything seemed to be fine, but it all happened all of a sudden, and Jerik, one of the scouts, realized how out of practice they were—if it was indeed them that were out of it or because the Verexin Tribe were masters from being seen by naked eye… He’d never seen the Dragon Rider up close, but being in his presence made his body shake—and he wasn’t one to shake easily. The Dragon Rider spoke calmly, like everything was cool—like he had already gotten the answer to his desires when in fact he had not.
“Your King has until the first break of dawn. If I don’t have my answer by then, then you already know how this is going to end.” And without another word said, they were turned lose to return to the King to tell him of the news. Why, Your Majesty, greeat news. There’s God knows how many soldiers standing outside the city walls. Oh, and not to mention, the Dragon Rider himself. He demands that you give your right as King, your fealty, your people, your eeverything or he’s going to torch the city to the ground. Jerik practiced how he was going to tell the King. He’d known the King for a long time now, but anyone could tell that he would never give Zeig anything of the sort… And that thought made Jerik shake even more.
Once they made it into the castle, both of the men started out in a sprint, running for the King’s bed chambers. It was reaching that time of night where it was better off leaving him alone, since he’s made it perfectly clear long before that he doesn’t like to be disturbed unless it was a dire emergency. And it was out of the question that this was indeed a dire emergency. Night guards eyed them suspiciously as the men ran by, but none of them showed any desire to stop them. Not until they started banging on the King’s doors did they stop them, asking what would drive them to do such a crazy act. Without thinking, Geroff (the other guy) started ranting on about the problem at hand. Jerik gave him a piercing stare that clearly said shut up, and he did. At that moment, the door swung open, and the King stepped out, covered in his nightrobes.
“Sorry to disturb you so late, your Majesty, but we have some urgent news.” Without a moments hesitation, the guard was dismissed, and Geroff and Jerik disappeared into the darkened bedroom as the King closed the door behind them.
(( And there's more coming ^_^ ))

"You've heard of a certain group of... rebellious youths in this city have you not?" Mark asked cautiously. He could sense something about her, something he felt he could act on. He had always been good at discerning intentions, and he now used those to conclude that this girl in front of him would be able to pliable to the rebellion.

Her brow remained arched, but her eyes grew slightly wider as his next question took her by even more surprise. She uncomfortably shifted her weight in the chair, narrowing her gaze at him now. He said youth? Perhaps it was a way of throwing off prying ears, but she shrugged and answered back. “I’ve heard more than just that.” She took a quick swig out of the mug. “You mean to say they are true?” If so, they’d done a fantastic job hiding everything important pertaining to their organization from all the people they wished to remain invisible from…
But then it suddenly hit her. He had to do something with the whole organization. He has too... But then why would he bring it up in a place such as this? She thought as she finally relaxed her face, looking back up at Mark.
