Alright, so I'm not sure if this counts as a funny story 'cause it happens every day, but the band has to do jazz runs in the morning. And almost every morning I can hear a band person say, "Geez, you're so lucky guard, you don't have to do these!"
I am still unable to think of a proper, witty comeback to battle this idiocy with. What do they think we're... doing over in the grass... for an hour...? I want to see the Band-aids do some sotees... 3nodding

Well, I don't know if this is really "funny"... But it is a story nonetheless... So, it's my freshman year at band camp.. (Last year..) It's the last day, and we're getting ready to go home. We step outside and see cop cars and a bunch of people gathered around 3 cars and a tractor.. Apparantly, someone decided to take this tractor for a joy ride, and ran into the 3 cars.. So the saying now goes: This one time, at band camp, someone stole a tractor..

This last week we had MadTractorGuy. See, there's some guy that was hired to take care of landscaping issues at the school, but he drives like a maniac. In the railing that separates the baseball and football fields from the road around the school there's an opening barely big enough for a car and he barrelled in there at full speed and his trailer hit the bar and bounced through. We all kinda stared from our stretching and watched. The OC lady said:
"That is a man on a mission. No one get in his way. I repeat, no one be in his way. He's trackin' that trailer."
We all burst out laughing.

Alright, I think this one qualifies as funny, though it's not totally centered around guard as much as full band.
Last year, last practice of the season, our band director was driving us into the ground trying to get us ready for finals. We marched the show for 3 hours non-stop and he finally decided that we would give a performance for all the parents that were waiting for us to be done.
So, end of the last set for that performance and our lead trumpet is standing in the front of a diamond formation with all the band behind him. The only problem with this : His pants were around his ankles xd

so theres this druminer i "like" <--long story
and well......i learned today why we arent supposed to let other sections use our flags unless they know what theyre doing....
i let "hot"tubaguyrob use my flag after my guard buddy and i showed him how to do this stripper thing for rhapsody in blue.
and he decided it would be fun to show us that he could do a back swing extension.....and well it wasnt in toaster plane flat agains him and well......
whablam!
right in my lovetohatedrummer's balls.
well, it did give me a reason to talk to him! i made sure he was okay and tried to seem normal even though i couldnt stop giggling.
that was pretty much the highlight of my now starting sophomore life! =3

My gaurd was working in the hall and this kid walked out from a class to get a drink of water. One his way back, he asked if we will let him play with our flags. We all say no, following the rules. Than the guys says, " Its because its flag isnt it?" A few of us were like " Noo! " But the guy continuted to go on and said we were a " KKK Colorgaurd " Than our section leader replied " Yeah, we would let two of our members even touch the flags for a week " she said referring to the one colored membered of the gaurd.
