STORYLINE_____xxx

REAL WORLD. In the year 2542 A.D., the world was thrown in chaos after a specialized pandemic disease ravaged the population. Only those who were educated and intelligent, basically the upper class, were targeted, leading world leaders to believe that it was a computer-generated virus.

As a proposed "cure", a team of scientists invented a special machine that would allow people to be connected to cyberspace virtually, meaning that their minds would be hooked up to a machine and their bodies taken care of by a team of nurses. Originally, the machine was only to allow 4 people to attempt to find the virus and destroy it.

These 4 people that were chosen were specialized in different fields. (see "The Legend of the 4 Heroes" post) Together, after a long and grueling quest, found the virus and fought it in battle. They managed to greatly weaken the virus, but were unable to destroy it.

Upon returning to the real world, the 4 heroes reported that as long as humans stopped depending on computers so much, the virus would eventually die. However, if technology continued to flourish, the virus would re-awaken and wreak havoc once more. Though congratulated on their victory, the heroes were ignored.

In fact, the scientists found the project such a huge success, they decided to let people all over the world hook up to machines and access cyberspace in this way. It was practically a whole new world, as scientists added in key elements of many popular role-playing games to make things interesting. There were different servers, each with its own set of rules and perks. It was expensive, however, so not everyone was able to afford even the cheapest of servers.

The heroes opposed the new developments in vain, and died trying to protect the world they had tried so hard to save.

However. They were not wrong about the re-awakening of the virus. 500 years later, it starts to stir and once again, must be stopped for the good of mankind. If not destroyed, it will attack the human race with even greater power than before, and could possibly wipe out all of the humans forever.

Cyberspace. A group of young people rises to fight for something they think is right, only to find themselves caught in an even harsher battle...

Airis MAGICK_____xxx

24 years of age, Airis is a retired assassin who now works with children in order to repent. He can be careless and forgets things a lot, but it is easy to see that he is quite caring.

Weapon of choice: Dual Katanas, diamond tipped, with a dragon hilt.

When Airis was an assassin, he killed several dozen people within the years of his employment. After he retired, they came back to haunt him in dreams and reveries. He went to an oracle, who told him that he had to atone for his sins.

Airis could not think of a way to do this, and was stuck in misery. One day, he came upon a small child lost in the city. She told him that she was from the orphanage, but had lost her way whilst taking a walk. He took her back, and realized that this was his calling. He started working at the orphanage, showering the children with love and care, and soon his dreams vanished.

This was also where he met Rikaru, who was sketching people for a magazine and saw him in the field with the children. She was in awe at his kindness, and stopped to chat with him and make friends. When he explained about his past, she wasn't fazed, and he quickly fell in love with her happy, carefree personality.

He currently has no interest in the revolution, but that will soon change.

AMPMAN_____xxx

A 25-year-old bounty hunter who's currently after the infamous Lone Maverick. His only known weakness is his love of gold. He seems a bit aloof at first, but is quick to make friends. The brother of Setzer and Leyna.

Weapon of choice: Explosive playing cards.

Amp was, at first, consumed by gold. It's not that he wanted items, or was greedy. He, in fact, was trying to amass enough gold to pay for a surgery that would repair his eye, which had been injured and blinded.

He had lost the function in that eye when he was on a job to capture Lone Maverick. Maverick slashed his face with one of his twin daggers, and Amp's eye never healed. Since then, Amp had both tried to get money for the surgery, as well as hunting down the man who had crippled him.

This attitude was changed shortly after he moved in with Valgav and discovered something that he thought he had lost long before: his heart. This was a gradual change brought on by Kizunami.

Several years before, Amp had been to one of Kizu's concerts in Arcadia. He had seen her there, onstage, in one of those gowns that looked as if it had come right out of a fairy tale. Amp had been bedazzled, but the two never spoke. When he met Kizu again, right when she was about to be killed by the duo of Crescent Scythe, he barely recognized her, since she had since lost much of her radiance.

Amp, at first, cared nothing about the Alliance. He wanted to make the money and split. But after a long time spent with Kizu and the others, he began to change, and soon wanted to fight against those who had hurt his friends...as well as the one he loved.

BOROBDIN_____xxx

About 27 years of age, Borobdin works as a librarian. However, he also does a lot of research on the side for the Alliance. Boro knows a lot about the history of the 3 servers. Generally very friendly and helpful.

Weapon of choice: Bow and arrows.

Borobdin has long been a friend of Valgav from the days of the Questions and Feedback club. And when it comes to matters of the Alliance, he is no different. Boro constantly provides the revolutionaries with more information, which comes from his job at the National library.

He is very work-oriented, and is passionate about the Anti-Moderator movement. The only aspect of him that rivals this is his loyalty towards his friends. Boro has known Valgav and Sephirothgal since a very young age, and was quick to make friends with Kizunami, as well.

Boro is the first to find information on the 4 Heroes.

ELISABETH_____xxx

Liz is a 26-year-old photographer working under Arwen. She is quite kind and caring towards everyone, but she has a particular fondness for her partner, Xanilus. She deeply resents her family background.

Weapon of choice: Sai's.
Significant Other: Xanilus

Elisabeth is from the Ashcroft clan, another prominent family that has children working in sweatshops. For this reason, she quickly developed a disgust towards her family and alienated herself from them.

She became a photographer, and started working for Arwen. Arwen paired her up with Xanilus, and the two worked together as partners for a long time, Xanilus not knowing about her family background. After a while, Elisabeth fell in love with Xani, since he was so dashing and witty.

However, Xanilus found out about her family. He felt as though she had lied about her past, when she had simply tried to run away from it. They separated, but never forgot each other.

After the Alliance started, Elisabeth went to the first Anti-Moderator meeting. There, she met Xanilus, who was taken aback by her presence. They had a long talk, and Elisabeth explained that she greatly regretted her family. Xanilus decided to take a risk and trust her, and the two have been together ever since.

KANIRA_____xxx

25 years in age, Kanira is an abstract artist and a dreamer. Highly energetic and somewhat eccentric at times, she is a lot to handle if you are not used to her. Knows several types of martial arts and frequently practices them on Jahoclave.

Kanira started out as the bodyguard of Jahoclave, who is actually a prominent himself, despite his hatred of them. His family sent her to protect him while he "grew out of his phase". Almost immediately, however, Kanira came to understand his reasoning and befriended him, instead. At first, Jaho was very cold towards her, but she kept being bubbly and friendly, and eventually he came to get used to her.

After a while, Kanira began to fall for him, though she would never admit it. She believed that she wasn't good enough for him, and that she was sure to get rejected if she confessed. This stressed her out, as she didn't know how to act around him anymore.

Jahoclave, perceptive as always, (he had help from Kilana and Kizu) figured out that she was in love with him, and he confronted her about it. He very hesitantly said that he didn't return her feelings. Kanira noticed something different about the way he said it, and knew that he was lying. With a big smile, she kissed him squarely on the lips and pranced away.

Kanira is a great supporter of the Alliance, and frequently discusses the state of the 3 servers with Valgav and Kizunami.

Kasumi TENDO_____xxx

About 23 years old, she is believed to have been murdered by Kizunami. She has some connection to Lone Maverick, but as they say, dead men tell no tales...or do they?
