My mother got into my fanfiction.net profile and I caught her reading it. She promises she won't do it again, but...
Five minutes earlier she was looking at my DA profile and journal. This means that I might have to go onto lockdown in these places and delete a ton of stuff.
And a few years ago, she used to go through my sketchbooks behind my back. That was until I found out and yelled at her.
Does she not realise that that's not cool, to go through my stuff when I haven't told her she can? That's... untrustworthy! And I do feel like I can't trust her, every time she does this. I guess she thinks it's 'taking an interest' in me, but I don't want her to!
Gees... I'm so angry right now I could cry...
Have you had anyone do this?

My mother did that a month or so back with my deviantart (which I really didn't care wether or not she looked at really) and my livejournal. And while it is personal and whatnot it was my own dumb fault for being too lazy to friends only the whole thing, which I obviously did later that day.
If you were a parent I highly doubt you could say that if you stumbled across something like that of your child's you wouldn't look at it. That's why if you want privacey you have to be super ninja and realize that once you put something on the internet anyone can read it.

On the other hand, when you have made it clear in the past that 'I do not want you reading this', and then someone goes and does it, it is inevitable that you will be angry. Everyone needs their privacy - if I found my daughter's diary lying around, I would resist the urge to read it. That's common courtesy.
There wasn't anything on my DA which is damning, as such, it's just more that she did it behind my back without asking my permission. I feel betrayed.
(For the record, I got very upset at her and she said that if she had known it would make me so upset, she wouldn't have done it, and promised not to do it again.)

*Shrug* I had an ex who started reading my emails and following other accts various places. To be fair she did have reason to be suspicious, but it still irritated me.

Parents are like kids sometimes. The more you tell them "not to do something" the more they do it.
Fortunately my mother respects my privacy and could care less about my online business.
