For 3 days straight I have watched the whole episodes of the Avatar. It's a really amazing show which some people think it is not an anime at all since it was made in the US. But no. Just because it was made in the US doesn't mean it's not anime. Anime is a style of drawing which can be drawn ANYWHERE in the world. So now that I got that cleared up, I wanna say a few things about my... 2nd favorite character in the whole show! >=)
Yes I said second because I looove Azula's personality much more.
Now let's begin. We all know Toph was born blind, and because she was born in the richest family of all the earth kingdom, she was spoiled and looked after so strictly it caused her to have some turbulent feelings towards her parents, who were the ones who gave her that sort of upbringing in the first place. Never seen the world with her own beautiful bright eyes, she had to overcome her limit by focusing more on her feet. Overtime, it became her eyes. Like echo vibrations, she uses her feet as an echo location radar to summarize what is around her. She utilises her disadvantage of being blind to her advantage! Thus making her a child genius! Indeed she really is a genius because even at the tender age of 12, she manages to earn the title of that wrestling thingy and conquers her opponents without any difficulty whatsoever...
When she met the avatar and began to know him better, she began to envy his freedom. Her deepest desire to be set free and travel the world made her the Toph we know and love! She is pretty funny, cute, mischiveous and somewhat chubby haha! Well don't hate me for saying that, I think she looks kinda chubby and cute, it makes me wanna hug her to death! >=)
As well as being a very good liar, she lied her way into the group! I respect her for that because honesty is over rated. People lie on a daily basis. She lies to her advantage, she lies to earn them some money, she lies to get her way... But even though she lies, she is honestly a very sincere, down to earth person if you get to know her life unfold before your eyes! And she does tell the funny truth most of the time, which makes us love her more.
To top it off, she is probably the first metal bender in existence. A true genius she is! By the way, if I haven't given her enough compliment yet, it's maybe because her entire being for respect is so massive that all the compliments in the world won't be enough to satisfy her fame! Self-proclaimed the greatest earth bender, and pioneer of the metalbending, she deserves the utmost respect. Maybe even a medal of honor! Haha!
Oh yeah... I just want to clarify one thing... when they were in the desert, she HAD to let go of Apa. If it wasn't for her, the avatar and others would be eating sand by now. That really pissed me off when Aang disrespected her when it was her all along who saved them. But what's this?!?! No thanks from that little avatar brat?!! How shameful to call himself that title if he doesn't realise how much he owes his life to her! She did her best and helped Apa as much as she could! ...Just imagine if you were in her position - having the weight of the world in your bare hands, trying to keep a library from sinking for all eternity and saving your oversized pet at the same time! Now you know how it feels - Toph is just amazing!
Soooo! ^^ Overall, Toph is the best! ( Crap I just changed her from being 2nd to being #1! XD )
ALL HAIL THE ALL MIGHTY TOPH! She's the Toph'est mother f****r in the whole series! >=) Even better than any avatar in existence!
