I've been watching many gundam series and one of the things that I've been noticing is that the gundam pilots of newer series are turning into emotional little wusses. I first notice this with Kira in Gundam SEED. He's such an emotional wreck that he gets tricked into having sex with a psychopath. Then what's even worst is Gundam 00. I overall like the series but some of the pilots like Setsuna, Allelujah, and Tieria are all seen crying or screaming like a pansy. The only pilot I like in that series is Lockon.
I remember back in the day when Gundam pilots like Heero Yuy and Trowa Barton existed that were never seen crying or cried with a straight face. As I see it, Gundam pilots are degenerating into pansies. If Heero could see what his successors have become, he would try to kill himself....again. >>
What are your opinions about this?

dude, watch the original series. Amuro was just like that. besides, if you were suddenly thrown into a war, can you honestly say that you wouldn't cry?

There's a fine line between having realistic depth in the form of emotional trauma and being a whiny-a**. In the newer series, this line tends to be crossed more often than not. Like Quatre. His trauma was realistic. Kira, on the other hand, just got on my nerves. If this is going to be the pattern from this point on...... I fear for the future of the Gundam franchise.
