Yzea
Surrounded by a golden desert, this merchant based city has made itself known from the vast amount of information stored in the city's library. Though swarmed by street rats and gangs, the city has been kept solid for the past few years from a sophisticated sand barrier. Any unwanted intruders who wish to enter the city are destroyed by sand tornadoes, but this system doesn't stop intruders from the inside. In an effort to minimize gang related crimes, a small group of enforcers act as the cities protectors. Underneath the city lay countless hidden labyrinths. Yzea is just one of the many cities that inhabits the world of Dalerion.

The sun was barely creeping over the horizon and the sands appeared quiet. Shop owners had begun to set up their shops for the busy day ahead. Several guards emerged from the gates and shouted to the shops to close down their shops as this was an emergency. Quickly helping them all shut the windows and lock the doors, the residences and even the scum of Yzea, was hidden behind walls. Several mage knights ran along the outskirts of the town and set up a large earthen barrier to block the sand storm from completely sweeping the city beneath it. Among the guards, however, the familiar former Chaser was not within the marketplace, but outside the city gates.

Maki Kakei, vice captain of the Yzea Brigade, stood at 5'7" with her captain, Akio Zain. Her hair had gotten longer over the past five years and was now held back in a long thin ponytail down her back. Her eyes still retained it's emerald color and it's glimmer of adventure. Around her neck rested a crystal, given to her by the captain, which retained two symbols of great importance to her heart. One was the former Chaser symbol, the other his.

"Get ready."

"Yessir." Maki pulled down her goggles from atop her head and settled them to protect her eyes from the stinging grains of sand. She gripped her two duel guns Ezak and Niaz in her palms and carefully eyed the oncoming sandstorm and glanced at Zain. "Is it her?"

"Yes. The rogue berserker Inthra." Zain stood taller than Maki at 6'1". Rough messy black hair tied into a skinny horsetail. His eyes were a mysterious golden color and his face stern. He rarely smiled but he still gave off a cool yet kind air to Maki. He held a bow and arrow in his hands. For this battle, he was going to act as backup to Maki. "With the sand barrier being an earth element and her rage aimed at this city, she's easily able to get close to the town. All other guards have set up the internal barrier and are occupied with protecting the citizens. It's up to us to stop her and place her under arrest without bloodshed."

"Yessir!" Maki nodded and took a couple steps forward at the storm grew dangerously close.

The storm swept in and encased Maki and Zain within it's barrier. Maki stood still and charged forward and swung her gun and fired towards the tip of the sandstorm. "You back for another beating b***h?" Maki called when she heard a cry of pain.

Part of the storm within the barrier died down and a young girl with glowing red eyes and two long orange braid tied down her back. Her skin was very tanned and her clothes torn from worn out from the pounding storms of the desert. Her hand was clamped on her shoulder from a newly formed cut from a bullet shot. "This time, you're going to die!" She cried, raising her arms in the air. Sand particles compacted and formed several spires that rained down upon Maki.

"Gawd, Inthra the Desert Berserker hasn't changed at all." Maki swung her body around the collapsing spires. One spire barely missed her left side and she swung on top of it and launched into the air, using her wind magic to charge quickly forward and tackle Inthra to the ground.

"You're under arrest!" Maki shouted over Inthra's screams.

"Move Maki!" Zain called from the distance.

Maki didn't think twice and flipped backwards as several arrows shot down from the sky and surrounded Inthra. Seveal ribbons sprung from the arrows and wrapped around the berserker's body. A small glow burst from the ribbons and the fabric transformed into chains.

"You think this will hold me?!" Inthra shouted, moving her hands to try and summon up the earth element. Nothing happened. Her eyes widened in panic. "What?! WHY?! WHAT DID YOU DO?!" She screamed as even the sandstorm began to settle down around them.

Zain walked up next to Maki and patted her on the shoulder, then moved forward to Inthra. "Those enchantments on the arrows suck all the earth element magic from nearby users. Since you're the only one and there were six arrows, you've been drained of all your magic. You are under arrest."

"b*****d! YOU THINK THIS CAN HOLD ME FOR LONG?!" Inthra roared trying to launch at Zain but was flung back and knocked unconscious due to Maki charging forward and cracking the side of her skull with the back of her gun.

"That was unneccesary."

"Eh she was screaming too much."

The guards were moving around preparing a caravan to take Inthra back to the capital of Dalerion in hopes of putting her in a special cell. Although the guard would be lessened, Inthra's security was top priority, especially in the dessert. Hopefully her power would be lessened once entered in the woods of Yahala, guarded by the magic of elves.

"Are you going with them?" She asked, her eye avoiding contact like she didn't care.

Zain looked down and a small smile curled on his lips. "No." He replied, as his voice was stern and the smile not apparent with the tone. "Several captains were sent with them and my place is here guarding Yzea." He waved off the last guard who ran off to the front of the caravan to signal to start moving the prisoner.

Maki couldn't help but smile that Zain wasn't going. She has to fully turn her head away so he wouldn't see her smiling for joy.

He could see it anyways. He patted her on the head, as per the usual due to their height difference. "Though you may be glad for me not leaving, I believe that it might be time for you to go on yet another journey." He turned on his heels and headed back into the tower, motioning for her to follow.

"Woah wait what?!" Maki blinked and called, running after him. "And who said I cared if you were staying?!"

Whitefire was silently perched atop one of the more towering structures of the city; he was once again suited in his heavy silver and black armour. “It’s spreading too quickly.” He thought to himself, “This is not good.”
Whitefire lifted his helmet off and whipped the sweat from his forehead; this was not the greatest weather to be jumping around in a weighty suit of armour. The youth was about to jump to another tower when he caught a quick glance at them, a raven haired girl and a man. “I found you.” He smirked and placed his helmet back on; he slowly got to his feet and looked down at girl who was just about to enter a tower.
“Prinz you’re too slow.” He chuckled underneath his visor, he leaned forward falling on his perch plummeting towards the ground. He did a number of flips and landed on his feet, with a thud behind the girl.

A shiver went down her spine. Her adrenaline was still rushing after the battle to capture the berserker earlier. The thud behind her startled her yes, but her reflexes were still quick as her right hand pulled the Niaz gun out and against his forehead. "What business do you have with the guard?" She demanded, not too happy that he appeared behind her.

Zain turned around at Maki's suddenly seriousness of her voice. "Who're you?" He demanded sternly, his hand resting on he hilt of his own blade in warning to the intruder. "You do not have an aura from this world."

Whitefire smirked underneath his helmet, “Is that how you greet visitors, by demanding answers. Is it not rude to ask someones name before first giving your own.” In a flash his scimitars where out; in the motion he was also able to push the girls gun out with the side of one of his scimitars. He then kicked off the ground and swung one of his scimitars horizontally at the girls’ chest.

"We're Yzea's guard, what do you expect?" Maki replied. And from Zain's words she didn't trust the stranger even more. He was dangerous. The blades he slashed at her chest could vouch for it. Her reaction was quick in moving her body backwards into a flip, using the momentum so her legs grappled the man's arm twisting it so his own weapon would be released from his grip.

Zain began to move forward to join in the battle.

"Don't!" Maki called without looking back, "He's trying to break into the city! Get back within the walls and set up the perimeters! I can handle this!"

“I always hope for a nice Hello, but lately it seems I’ve been greeted with threats.” He smirked under his helmet, he let go of his scimitar, didn’t want to risk a broken wrist and watched as it was flung aside landing on the soft sand. His hand began to glow bright white; steaming. He grabbed the girl’s leg; he felt her skin burn from his touch. At the same time he thrusted his other scimitar just below her neck.

Maki gritted her teeth as to not scream out. Her stubbornness prevented her from letting Zain hear her cry. The back of her wrist came up to meet the blade. Though the black cloth was decieving, there was actually a strong type of metal brace beneath it. Curving her hand so she parried the blade's thrust away from her, she yanked her foot away and swung with a flip into the air. Resting up in the air, hoping she had the advantage, her eyes quickly glanced down at the burning and bleeding flesh underneath charred cloth. Living as the guard in a desert city, many of the people here who were blessed with the gift of magic could use fire. She could handle the sting, but this stranger's fire was far stronger and powerful than any other she dealt with. "What is your name?!" She demanded.

He looked up at the girl, his hand slowly returned to its original colour. “Again with the demands,” he gave a sigh, “You can call me Whitefire, I’m surprised you took the pain well usually my enemy would cry out in agony.” Whitefire glanced over at his other scimitar stabbed in the sand; he dashed over and grasped the blade. Then kicked off the ground flying towards the girl, for some wearing such heavy armour his speed was unreal. “Your Maki correct?” He asked making a vertical slash with one of his scimitars.

Maki pulled out her other dual gun and fired at Whitefire's blade to knock it out of his hand. She still had the upper hand if she remained airborn. She was able to stay up in the air longer as this was her world and the magic flowed more freely there. As his body was still moving towards her, her other hand rose up as well as the winds in the air, attempting to bind the oncoming warrior. "And how do you know my name? I don't think I've met you before..." Maki trailed off. Or had she?

Whitefires scimitar began to glow similar to his hand, and his blade easily cut the bullet in half. The wind could do nothing, but annoy him, with his helmet on he easily saw past it. The warrior flew right past Maki, then turned around in midair, and sheathed his scimitars. “You’re one of the Chasers of Legend who doesn’t know your name.” He smirked, the bright light returning to his hands. Whitefire pulled his arms back, then thrusted them forward. Scorching White Fire erupted from his hand, as it tore through the air it sounded like the screech of a phoenix.

"Oh s**t!" Maki cried as the fire began to tear through the sky. Raising her thumb up to her lips, she tore a bit of the flesh letting the blood drip down to her palm. Her other hand quickly wrote a foreign symbol and it began to give off a blue glow. Maki raised her arms and parried the punch followed by her own rapid jabs at his face. This blood sacfrice should be able to negate the intensity of his fire magic for a short while. I have to end this before I pass out from loss of blood. Her last move involved a drop kick to his back, while hitting him but also using him as a launch pad to jump into the air, using the gun still in her hand to rain and continuous fire on him.
