new edit!: anyone want any LightxL commissions? I do own a shop on gaia and always love creating art of my favorite yaoi pairing: a sample of my art on page 2!

i got both of my christmas-special L & Light figurines in the mail today, along with an adorable figurine of Misa!! *squee*
I've got another 3 figurines coming...Light and L in their normal outfits with interchangeable expressions and one of Ryuk o_o; curious to see what the Ryuk one looks like.

Anyways, i bought these off of EBAY, they are the Deathnote Nendroid Series. I remeber they were fairly pricey but for some reason, i dont remember the exact cost ^^;

I got 2 L's, a light and a ryuk added to my collection!
thou their quality leads me to beleive that i have somehow been decieved when the ebay seller said they were "new". >.>
BUT, they are still cuteeee as heck!

Dude! Those are soooo adorable! I didn't know action figures were allowed to be so cute. Most of the times they are all deformed or super pricy. But wow, I LOVE THEM! biggrin I wish they had little Mello and Matsuba... hehe... oh and Matt and Mikami too. I wonder how Ryuk will look also... ^^

Did you ship those from japan?

yea they were all shipped overseas from japanese sellers.
I looked at a bunch of stores online, but they were all sold out.

its such a good product...its all very thick and heavy...not like plasticy at all.
makes me feel like i have a little part of death note on my desk <3 *joy*

That's super awesome. Man, I wonder if they sell stuff like that at conventions...

I wonder what would cost more though? My friend who has been to Japan told me it's really pricy. Which totally sucks! I want my crack anime cheap darnit! When do your other action figures come in?

i think the christmas ones are like...$30 or $40 each...probably closer to $40....the other 3 were all in one auction for like $50.... crying ;;
so expensiiiveee.....but so worth it.

do you think they would have figurines at the conventions?

i've never been to one... ._.;; never really had friends that were into anime enough to go w/me sweatdrop
I'm like the odd ball when it comes to this stuff w/my friends xD

@unsolvedenigma: Yea, anime conventions usually have all sorts of stuff like that. And you don't have to pay for shipping or anything! <3

That sucks about your friends... you should drag them to one anyway! I dunno, they are usually really cool, not all of my friends love anime as much as me but I do get them to go and they like the lolita stuff and the cool outfits people are wearing. Not everything there is anime, a lot of it is Japanese culture too.

Going to a convention doesn't require courage, so much as being able to afford it. I'm having to save up from now until july to go to A-Kon in Dallas... Most of that's just going to the hotel room.
But, if you do have the cash and the ride to and from, it's definately worth it. Just remember to have a friend tag along, because it can get a little depressing if you don't.

ahh welll ^^;
im quite shy so i probably wouldnt know what to do in a room full of lots of people i dont know...i guess thatst just how i am xD;

and the other problem is tagging along that actually wants to go >_>;
i'm not *too* concerned about travel expenses ^^; i travel alot in my job so i have lots of miles & points saved up from all the trips.

Yea, but it is pretty easy to make new friends at conventions too. Anime fans can be super super nice! (Uhm, most of them are... x_x;; ) And yea, my whole issue is expense: gotta buy cosplay stuff, entrance fee, hotel fee and then the money to buy cool stuff and art. Since I actually get to stay a whole weekend at Fanime (in CA) this year I'm going to pay for a commissioned MattxMello picture. *super excited* Yay! It'll be so awesome. ^^

^_^ They are cute. And you said that the origional ones were coming in soon. I'm interested in seeing what the Ryuk one will look like too. o_0 There is no way that it's going to be cute.... Ryuk + cute = no possible.
