So we really all know it wasn't subtext...should have been called maintext, but I've taken the liberty of posting the links (from youtube) of a few really good subtext videos. Some of them have major FIN content and they are tear jerkers/heart wrenchers.

[ONE] - This video is amazing - portrays the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle beautifully - Minimal FIN content

[TWO] - This one made me bawl. Major FIN content - not for the faint of heart.

[THREE] - The opening to this video is Hilarious! The rest is very cute and does a perfect job of portraying their relation ship, very minimal FIN content

[FOUR] - This one is a very beautiful video. Recaps 6 years - the good and the bad. Minimal FIN content.

[SEVEN] - People - watch out. This is perhaps the saddest one I've ever seen...it's ALL FIN content...the whole thing...good gods it's a heart jerker. You've been warned.

That does drive me mad to be honest.

Not because of Xenite fan-politics, but just because the way the word 'subtext' has been so badly misused in Xena fandom that it's ******** up what the word 'subtext' actually means.

If people were using the terminology properly then X/G should be called subtext only up until 'Altered States'. From then on, it should be called "one possible reading of the text" (ultimately becoming the prefered/dominant reading).

I love all of Masque's videos. Just sayin'.
