Starscream hated winter.
He carefully limped through the forest in an attempt to use the trees as a buffer against the chilled wind which crept into the crevices in his armor and made his wings ache. Any other time, he would hide in the hot spring near the river and let it keep him warm, but many others smaller than him had had the same idea the day before and made a horrible mess of it. It was filled with fur and feathers and, overall, was disgusting. He would have cleaned it out any other day, but he was too cold to stay in the open long enough to do so today.
Starscream paused between two trees and let himself hunch up and give a violent shudder as his cabling tried to lock up from the cold. It was the one thing he hated about being a flying mech - his systems were more temperature sensitive than the average mech's.
He sighed and tried to find a bigger tree to hide behind when the wind went straight into the connecting joints of his wings again. This would not be a problem if he was not so hateful and pushed everyone away from him. He had plenty of time in this land to make friends but, as was usual for him, had driven them all away. His constantly running systems as a mech were warm but not warm enough - if he could combine them with another's, he might not be so chilled and miserable, but no - as with all of the organics, he had driven away the one mech he had seen in what seemed like forever.
"I really do deserve to be alone..." he hissed to the wind.

Jazz LOVED winter!
weather did not affect him, he was aware of temperature, but only from readings that his armor fed though his circuits. but other then that, his body heated him enough to not be affected by cold, and that of cource allowed him to enjoy winter as much as he liked. he loved the snow, loved how it covered everything in a gleaming white blanket, loved the sound it made when he walked on it, and he especially loved how slippery it was.
taking a running start, he jumped up slightly, landing on all fours, balancing himself as he landed on a hill and slid down it, a big grin on his face as his visor flashed happily, having way to much fun to focus on any problems he had now.
as he slid towards the bottom of the hill however, having to shifts to dodge trees now, something much larger and brighter moved into his path right at the bottom of the hill. optics brightening as he recognizes Starscream, and knowing that if he didn't do anything he was going to collide with the Seeker."Helms up bro!" he called to make himself known. trying to shift his footing to slow himself down, kicking himself up to flip over the other Mech, successfully avoiding a collision, landing hard on his feet and sliding into a tree.

Starscream let out a startled squawk and ducked down when he heard Jazz yell. He was so startled both by the sudden and strangely coincidental appearance of the mech he had just been thinking of and the entrance the white mech had made that all he could do was stare stupidly at him for a moment before he finally regained his composure and screeched angrily, "What were you thinking?! What the slag was that?!"

Jazz laughed as he pushed himself away from the tree, untangling himself from fallen branches and his slippery limbs. shaking himself off, rebooting a couple of systems that where offset from running into the tree. he looked up in time to see the the dumb struck look Starscream was giving him before he went off at him with the temper Jazz knew to be Starscream's"pretty sweet yeah? did ya see the air I got?" he said grinning excitedly "didn't clip ya did I?"

Starscream glared heatedly at Jazz. He would have stormed over and used his talons to wipe off that smug grin if they just were not so cold. Instead, he demanded, "What is wrong with you?! Charging through the woods like some rogue beast, flying through the air without wings - you're going to take down the trees!" As he ranted, he could not prevent himself from shivering visibly, huddled in on himself. He knew the cold was not affecting Jazz the same way - a flying mech's systems could not be insulated as thoroughly since Starscream had to be able to sense every subtle change in the air while he was flying.

blinks at Starscream's outburst, it he did not know for a fact that he had not collided with any metal he would have thought that he had actually hit Starscream. "hey hey hey Starscream Cool it, yer actin' as if I don't know what I'm doin', Flyin' yer thing, ground is mine, I was in total control, and fer the record I ain't ever knocked a tree down..." blinks as he notices Starscream shivering. his smile fading to be replaced by a puzzled frown."you uh...." not sure if he should asked what he wanted to ask, knowing Starscream never took so kindly to being asked if he was alright.

"That tree you hit certainly sounded like it would," Starscream grumbled, quickly losing his steam from being so cold. He hunched up a little more and gave another violent shiver when the wind once again picked up, wings rattling noisily. "It's too frelling cold to be acting like such a sparkling anyway." He turned to start away again, now desperate for some sort of buffer against the chilling wind since he was not about to lower his pride by asking Jazz to use his systemic warmth to thaw his own systems.

“Cold?” he questioned, looking puzzled. Though it did not take long for an expression of understanding dawned on his plated features. “Ah, S’right, yer a seeker” had heard that the flying bots where more sensitive to climate changes… or rather sensitive at all. It intrigued him a little; he often wondered what feeling the elements was like, since he knew organics where keenly aware to even subtle changes. But from the looks of how uncomfortable Starscream looked, Jazz was starting to rethink that desire. Lifting his claws and trotting though the snow to catch up with Starscream ”guessin' ya don’t take ta this weather s’well do ya? ya don't look to hot.”

"Of course I don't 'look too hot' - I'm too cold! Cold, you glitchmouse! It's frelling COLD!!" That outburst seemed to exhaust the rest of Starscream's vigor, and he hunched in on himself to shiver miserably once more. At the very least, the snow did not bother him so much, so walking was bearable. It was the wind which gave him so much trouble - it cut right through every gap and crevice in his armor and chilled him from his metallic skeletal structure to every delicate wire in his body.
His pause to shiver gave Jazz the opportunity to catch up to him, and Starscream grumbled moodily. "Why are you following me now?"

Jazz nearly didn’t stop himself in time to clamp down a certain “cool it” response. Head jerking back in reaction to Starscream outburst. “woooh” he cooed cautiously instead. Avoiding Starscream’s last question, knowing his reply would not be appreciated and probably cause the Seeker to tell Jazz to beat it.“Only an expression bro, didn’t mean it that way. ya got someplace ta go?” he asked, pausing as he watched Starscream bundling in on himself, and frowning softly at it.

Starscream did not answer him for a moment simply because he was too busy shivering as the wind once again picked up. "I don't care," he finally responded over the clanking together of his shuddering parts and armor. "I'm just trying to find someplace out of this slagging wind. There were some big rocks around here somewhere if I remember right..."

"Ah see" he said, hesitating a moment later as he turned his head towards the forest, he knew there was bound to be something like that in the aria, but the closes one he could personally thing of was really not all that close. tilting his head slight as he considered other options."M'willin' ta bet yer hot spring is closer, F'not easyer ta find" at least he knew where the hot spring was, didn't have to wander around uncomfortable for something he was not certain about.

"Those disgusting organics left it filthy," Starscream grumbled, still very upset about that. "I'm not letting their fur and feathers gunk up my inner workings." He thought that ended the conversation and continued on his way, stopping every few slow steps to shiver against the wind.

well that was it, Jazz was all out of alternative options for him, tilting his head slightly thinking he might just have to leave the Seeker alone, until something he has pushed to the back of his processor suddenly squirmed its way forward."oh! well I know where another one is, F'yer interested" he offered, shuffling a bit in the snow and flicking some at the tree he had smashed into.

Starscream stopped mid-step. While, normally, he would have balked at the notion of accepting help from the other mech considering what happened the last time, the flying mech was so miserably cold, it would have been quite stupid not to accept this time.
And, even if he had not reached that conclusion, the next gust of freezing air clawing at his internal systems would have made up his mind anyway.
Starscream turned to face Jazz and asked, "Where?"
