Pikmin’s protagonist, Captain Olimar, was forced to make an emergency landing on this unexplored planet.

Let’s just call it the Distant Planet for now, shall we?

The flooring in the middle of the stage is made of vines and is very bouncy.

As you play, you’ll see numbered Pellets fall from the Pellet Posies around the stage. Grab one of these and throw it into a nearby Onion to get items.

Here’s a Pellet and an Onion.

Also, this planet experiences frequent torrential downpours. When things get wet, you’ll want to stay away from the hill on the left, as it gets pretty treacherous.

Whoa, that’s some fierce rain right there!

Oh yeah—there are some fierce creatures prowling the area, so watch your step.

You sure it’s safe to stand there?

... ... What am I saying. Of course it’s not safe. Anyhow, take care that you don’t get gobbled up.

I thought this was a pretty good update...until i noticed the delay. A character would have been better.

I like the pellets being used for items. I wonder if bigger pellets will get you better items...

I also like how the bulborb gets to eat you. But those poor pikmin in the screen shot... and Dedede, of course.

If this was the update to soften the delay like sonic was, they failed horribly at picking an update.

As for the stage itself, It's one of those stages that I need to play on before I judge, In the screenshots, you cannot tell which vines are platforms or just background.

I couldnt really tell either from the screenshots. Everything seems to blend together. But it looks like it will be fun when I actually get to play it.
Also I dont think this update has anything to do with the delay. They have often shown a new character and then show that characters level within the week. Its part of showing off the new character.
I still surprised we havent seen a sonic stage yet though.

Forget the sonic stage update! I'm dying to know more about Zelda(character, not the game)!

Yeah, they havent said anything about Zelda, I keep forgetting that. They havent even shown her final smash. Seems really strange, especially since she hasnt been shown at any of the demo events either.

He meant that posting a stage to soften the blow of the delay was a bad idea, not that the stage was the reason of the delay.

I agree! They didn't want to tell us, but today, they did.

Please stay on topic lads.

I like how all the characters seem small on this course and the raining seems pretty sweet.

The Deep Pit of the Shadows...

It's really a good change of events, since in Melee all of the characters were a bit large for the stage... I'm not saying it was a bad thing, but... it looked funny sometimes.

I wonder what will happen when you get eaten. I think that you will either die, or take damage, and be spit out.
