As I've said before I don't really watch anime, but I'd like to see why you guys seem to like it so much The only ones I've ever seen bits of are sailor moon, card captors, chobits and that piggeh girl one Oh yeah and pokemon .... Do you even count that? o.o; Anyway I'd be nice if you could give me some suggestions as to which ones I should watch so I can finally see what the hype is about! Thanks :3

Personally, I would recomend FMA and the first half of Death Note.
My personal belief is that after episode 25, Death Note goes downhill.
FMA is amazing though, you should definatly watch it.
YAY FMA 4laugh

I say Naruto or FMA. Some that look good are Bleach, Death Note, or Blood +

I agree with the others and add Naruto. If you can watch the the subtitled ones that's great, the dub has some silly edits but is otherwise not tooo bad. The second part gets really good(season 10 or 11 and up ) called Shippuuden or the Hurricane chronicles. But besides minor edits and some fillers throughout, it's really good overall.

When you are born... it`s either your destiny to become an Otaku... or not to become an Otaku. xD

I agree with the FMA suggestions, and I'm going to throw in Honey & Clover and Nana. Anime movie wise; Hayao Miyazaki films (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle), or Satoshi Kon films (Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress, Paprika).

shapoklyak Anime movie wise; Hayao Miyazaki films (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle) My English teacher is Diana Wynne Jones' son. e__e We watched the film in class last year, I liked how they did the castle but not much else. My advice for you Jebbica, is to steer clear of shojo. Most of the anime and manga have the same over-used plot device, high school misunderstandings: i.e. "OHHHH NOOOESS...MY BF SAW ME ACCIDENTALLY FALL OVER INTO THAT COMPROMISING POSITION WITH A SEXY STRANGER WHILST I CAME OUT OF THE SHOWER WEARING ONLY A TOWEL, WHICH FELL OPEN AND WE ACCIDENTALLY KISSED AND MY BITCHY BEST FRIEND TOOK A PICTURE AND NOW EVERYONE THINKS I'M A SLUT."
