Welcome to Chisa's Crafty Place!
I'll be using this thread as a sort-of craft diary, because I find my crafty stuff a bit too waffly for my proper blog sweatdrop Feel free to post here as you please, and critiques and suggestions are always loved.
Current Projects
various small clay charms that need varnishing and photographing
plans for an online store, starting with mostly felt badges/keyrings/phonecharms
painting Munny
clay figure started months ago...(UFO?)
Stuff I want to do eventually...
learn to sew with a sewing machine sweatdrop
re-learn knitting
experiment with Chinese ink painting
Online store to-do
Finish off prototype range (clay charms, clay mini sculpts, felt badges, shrinkable plastic jewellery, 1inch badges)
Design packaging (boxes for the breakable stuff, bag tags for the felt stuff and badges, stickers to put on envelopes)
Take product photos
Do a promo shoot of friends wearing/using items
Finish off the shop website
Build up some stock
Launch!

Here's what I've been working on lately! All felt stuff, haven't had the time for clay lately sweatdrop Easter bunnies  Cake Dice I think I'm starting to get the hang of photographing with my makeshift lightbox and using props now... and I found my parents old tripod to use!

OMG O_O your bunnies are so awesome!! and I love the cake!! ^w^ you should go to an anime convention and sell some of these I bet you'll make a good bit of money. wink

Wow your stuffs really nice, I love the tiny cake the frosting/ whipped cream are amazing.
Your pictures are also really nice, I need a lightbox and a tripod.....and a better camera lol.

Oh my gosh!! Those bunnies are sooo cute, plus I seriously thought that cake was edible ._.!

Your camera is really nice though ._. love the pictures too! I can't wait to see the rest of your stuff!

@kon: I sold some badges at my local anime convention, they went pretty well ^_^ I had to charge far less then I liked though, because the crowd wasn't the type to spend a lot on handcrafted items.
@eggy: Thanks! Go the homemade lightbox, mine cost about $20 between the two clip lamps, clear box and sheet of white card. They really are so useful for taking decent shots without spending heaps on lighting. I'm finding I can get more interesting effects with depth of field and white balance with my DSLR, but my little compact camera did pretty well in macro mode too.
@snowkirby: Haha cool! I can't belive people are thinking it's real!
I'm working on some clay and felt bits for the prototypes for my first range in the store I'm working on. Photos should come as I finish them in the next week or so!

rukitchi-drea what convention did you sell them at? Waicon, a convention in Perth, Australia. All these big US conventions are a bit too far away for me blaugh
