I plan on cosplaying Haruhi soon. [ Probably anime north? ] I usually make my outfits but this year my parents said they'd buy me one for my birthday. :] Which is a lot of help because i'm typically a busy person. D;

So the question is which one should I buy?

Outfit 1

Outfit 2

Outfit 2 skirt

Concern:

I adore outfit 1, however it's far more bright and vibrant than the offical outfit. I do like the brightness a lot, bright red > dark red to me. However I don't know if I should go with the second one to be more accurate and true to the show.

Try to ignore the goregous Haruhi cosplayer, comment on her, I don't mind but remember it's the outfit i'm buying. ;PP Also only the skirt and shirt is sold. Help me fellow Haruhiists~!

If it were me, I'd choose outfit one but if you really wanna be perfect in cosplaying Haruhi, than I would choose the second one. Whatever you want =)

Hmm, most of the attention on the first outfit is to the cosplayer herself, but when I step back and take a look at her outfit, it doesn't look that great. I'd say the second one is better

#2 looks like it's of a lot higher quality. If you want it to withstand the wear and tear of multiple uses go with that IMO.

OOOH! I recognize the link for the second one. That's the one I bought from eBay. It's really great and fits me wonderfully. I highly recommend it. =]

for bright cosplay, i'd choose No.1. the red is brighter, and the colors look nicer. but that's just me.

Personally, I prefer the dark red trim to the bright red. So, I vote for the second outfit.
