No Rishloo thread? Could've swore we had one. Anyhow, pretty great band from the Seattle area and considering how similar they sound to Tool, I'm sure plenty of Tool fans would really dig them. Ripoffs or not, I thought their latest album is more enjoyable than 10,000 Days, so they're definitely worth a listen.

Plenty of awesome songs on Eidolon, but that's not to say Terras Fames isn't worth trying. I recall listening to that album on repeat for weeks in 2005. I'd recommend either album really, but that might not be convenient for some, so here's a breakdown of which songs to check out.

When you said "ripoff" I was thinking they'd sound just like Earshot xd

So anyways, I was pleasantly surprised. They have an interesting sound, I can see them growing on me.

Oh god no D: Ashamed to say I own an Earshot album, which only has maybe one good song. Coincidentally, that was the only song I heard before buying it.

I just listened to Eidolon while cleaning the place up and they really have some great songs. Only thing that I find repetitive is the singer staying in the same range a lot. Also means there's room to improve, though.

I have one too whee

I think I heard it on the radio and was like "Hey... that sounds familiar, how about you get me that for Christmas?"

And I listened to it once, and never again.

So far, Rishloo is a lot more promising.

Hahah, agh, unfortunately I bought it myself DX

I feel guilty about Rishloo. I've been meaning to buy their CD for a year now and then this new one came out. Now that I see they're both available on CDBaby, I'll have to order them. Might as well pick up Emptyself's while I'm at it. Although, I DID donate like $25 to that guy after Hurricane Katrina and only my friend got a leftover CD from donating.
