i thought they cast him as the character cos he really was gay in real life. i could've sworn i read that somewhere. hmm... anyway, good for him for being honest, if it's true. 3nodding

You know, I don't think they would cast somebody to play a gay character because they are gay in real life. In truth, someone who's exactly the opposite of the character is usually the best person for the role. And if the did cast him because he really was gay, than that puts no reflection on his acting skills at all. How do we know he can't play someone who's gay? After all, Robin Williams played a gay man in "The Birdcage" but he's not gay.

Good for Adamo. I'm glad hes being true to himself. As for the person who said they thought he was because of how he looked, I'm sure they didn't mean it offensively. Though it was a very ignorant comment.
