I was just wondering (as a huge fan of the collectibles, as you can see from my avatar) what people thought of the most recent monthly collectibles? I personally don't think they've made a good one for a while, excepting the January one with all the art pieces, I thought that was surprisingly classy of them. The assassins one could have been so, so much better, I was disappointed!
Anyway, discuss. Favourite collectibles? Ideas for future collectibles?

I like things that have to do with nature or that are sort of elegant looking, so I wish they would do more with that. I don't really have anything in particular in mind though.
I wanted a mer-tail for a while, so I was happy when that came out. I wish we could have different body shapes though. I wish you could make yourself shorter, or plumper, or thinner, or taller, etc. I also wish you could change your eyes like you can change your hair.

There are a couple of petitions for contacts as far as I remember although it's one of those things that everyone has said is unlikely to ever happen.
I think the only reason they don't have the alternate shapes is because then they would have to create alternate shapes for all their clothes and to create an algorithm that could do that would be ever so slightly more difficult than one would expect. Not to mention it would probably slow gaia down terribly.
My favourite collectibles have to be the katana's though. No doubt about that. And I've got two of them xd
But I agree with charmed on the assassin's gear. It was so badly done. Apart from the wristblade thing. I'm hoping to get two of them to replace my shurikens.

yeh, the assassin ones were disappointing to me as well. the only part i like are the katars (the hand blades). those look so cool. but other than that, bleh... not even some nifty mask to go with it?? or cool goggles??? or something along those lines?!?!?
the masterpiece collectibles are actually quite nice, but i'd never get it for my avi, or maybe i would.... i dunno.
i'm afraid to suggest what i'd really like to have. soon enough it would be a collectible and thus certainly unattainable since inflation in the market is a b****. it really ticks me off how much people inflate the prices of even the less valuable items.

Yeah, the prices of some stuff is absolutely ridiculous. They really haven't tackled inflation at all!
The assassins one could have had better weapons, I think. The gun ones in particular I thought looked like they'd just been randomly stuck on.
My favourite collectable would be a tie between the ancient katana, the gwee and the vampire hunter's gear. They were immense! I'm not sure what I'd like as a collectible... Maybe instead of having individual angelic / demonic items they could create ones where it made your whole avatar into an angel or devil, with cool outfits and that.

I think initially their anti inflation measures did everything it could to make it worse. Because gaian gold isn't as regulated as real money the prices can just continue to soar without much really in its way.
The gun I despised. Sure, assassins use high-powered rifles but I still prefer the assassins of old (or of the disc) where it's all hidden knives and various other interesting ways of killing people.
The devil/angel outfit thing would be quite cool although they'd have to include a half and half 'model' as well else they would be leaving out a large portion of gaians.
Fatcheehcs, don't hold back around us. I'm pretty sure that no one would judge you here (If that's why you don't want to suggest.)

(wasn't afraid of anyone judging me, just afraid it would become a collectible as soon as i mention it. but the idea of it is pretty much what raven suggested.)
yeh, the whole half angel/devil thing sounds really cool. just imagining how that would look. that would be so cool!
this item i saw a petition for was this yin-yang clothing set. that looked pretty neat. it had a scarf and a dress and wings and what not. that was a long while ago so not sure if that petition is still going.
it would be neat if they could make magic carpets. i dunno that's just me. that shouldn't be that hard. it probably doesn't even need to be a collectible; that'd be a neat store item or a cash shop item.

A magic carpet would be great! It would go with the genie set they released recently. I think it'd work really well as a cash shop item. actually.
I hadn't thought of having half angel/ half devil, but that would look really cool! I really wish they'd invent that now... The ying-yang thing sounds similarly good, they could create lots of different items for that.
I know they're not monthly collectibles, but what do people think about the chess items in the Cash Shop? I love them! I just wish I could get some more gaia cash crying

i'll get you one when i get paid lol i want the chess piece things as well. they were great. although i love the art one. as you can tell biggrin
i'd like to see a collectable based around classic horror movie monsters like the blob and the monster from the black lagoon...

That would be immense! And you could have one that made you look like Frankenstein! And other famous film baddies lol. Although they've kinda done the vampire thing already, unfortunately...

A magic carpet would actually be exceptionally easy, especially considering the sitting position gaia already has would fit it perfectly.
As for the horror one, I think they should just bring out an item that basically allows you to switch between the avatar changes that have been in the events plus add a couple more.

that's a good idea, it would be fun to be able to switch back to the vampire whenever i wanted. i'm glad i changed back though, i wouldn't have wanted my avi stuck like that...

I thought the vampire skin looked good, but I still preferred to be a human. I think humans got better items too biggrin . The only other change I can think of is the zombie skin that was a while back, but I just missed that.

It does sound like it, judging from what people have said. I think they've done really well with the events recently though, they've been great!
