i give the now golden compass movie 10/10.
lyra and mrs. coulter is the best in the movie and i like lyras daemon pan.
mrs. coulter is not evil but she will fine lyra.

I liked it, though now that I'm almost done with the books, it seems they left out some stuff in the first movie. :S

The movie started out amazing!!

Then it went downhill fast --

It totally ruined the series...
for instance:
~ We already know lyra's parantage (this isn't supposed to happen nearly as quickly)
~ The order was all messed up (I believe this has to do w/ the director's want to end on a battle -- which shouldn't have really been a battle anyway -- a scrimage maybe, but a full out battle? I don't thinks (oh and I REALLY wanted to see the swan).
~ Roger doesn't die. He _needs_ to - b/c know the _whole_ world will believe that roger is an important role thoughout the remainder of the story.
~ There is not "only one" al

Other than that, I would've liked to see more of the witches.

I LOVED Lee Scoresby and the hare. They were perfect ^_^

I liked the daemons.

I give the movie a 8/10 if I didn't read the book
But since I did read the book I give it a 7/10
