This is delcious if you want that sweet and tart lemon flavor!

YOU WILL NEED!

For the cake
1 box of your favorite plain cake mix
1 cup of lemon juice

For Buttercream frosting

about 1 whole bag of confectioners sugar(powered sugar)
2 tablespoons of milk(or more if needed)
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups of melted and cooled butter
food coloring (if you want it a certain color)

What to do

1. Follow the directions on your cake mix and add a little 1/2 cup of oil to it
(makes the cake extra moist) whee
2. Let the batter sit for at least 30 minutes then add the lemon juice and
mix well
3.Put your cake in the oven and bake according to the directions, while its baking you could melt your butter and leave it to cool for a while
4. While your cake is cooling mix in a bowl the sugar, and vanilla
on low speed with an electric mixer (or a whisk or spoon)
5. Add the butter and milk slowly,(add food coloring at this point) while continuing to mix until frosting is creamy. Let sit in the refrigderator for at least 10 minutes
6. Once you finished everything frost you cake as desired!

ENJOY!!! xd

gonk That would be way too sour, plus it wouldn't cook properly then. There is only supposed to be a ' hint ' of lemon. You aren't meant to drown in it. That is also what the lemon zest is for. 3nodding

Also a whole 'bag' of sugar?!! What size of bag are we talking here? That sounds a little excessive. sweatdrop

well the hint of lemon I was looking for didn't come out. SO basically your best bet is to use lemon zest.

A whole bag of confectioner's sugar is often needed to frost a entire cake. If you don't want to use that much then don't I guess sweatdrop It took that much for me a frost a cake. sad
But of course it depends on the size of your cake anyway..... sweatdrop
