Um, yeah.... I HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS! Why is it that monster movies these day end up with most of the main characters dead with a rare exception?

Well, its kinda like a Armageddon-type Godzilla movie. The monster (Thats right, just one monster ands its spawn) seems to have been there all along, it just gets woken up or something
