im schizophrenic the rest of my family deostn know well actually i have a mild case of schizophrenia i dont have multiple personalities but i hear things and i hallucinate is anyone else have this problem??

have you been to a doctor about this? you may want to go to psychiatrist and see if you are for sure schizophrenic, if you already haven't been diagnosed. It is a very serious illness and not one that you want to just ignore or go unmedicated with.

MsMaxie have you been to a doctor about this? you may want to go to psychiatrist and see if you are for sure schizophrenic, if you already haven't been diagnosed. It is a very serious illness and not one that you want to just ignore or go unmedicated with. I completely agree, please get this looked into as it can worsen with age! I don't hallucinate, per say, but with Bi-Polar disorder, one of the 5 mood swings is "delusions" they're like hallucinations, things don't appear as they really are. Until I figured them out it was pretty weird and scary but now I just know what's happening and wait for it to pass - it always does.

there is no medication for schizophrenia they used to do electro shock therepy but that didnt help i go to counseling my psychiatrist is the one woh told me i have it and if my parents find out they will send me to the looney bin so ya thanks for the input mrgreen mrgreen

There is actually medicine for schizophrenia, try asking your psychiatrist about it. And how do your parents not know what's going on if you're seeing a specialist? I hope you don't mind my asking, but it confuses me.

I hope you don't mind my asking, but it confuses me. my parents dont know because theres counselor patient confidentiality and since its not life threatening she cant tell im and ill look more into the medicine thing thanks
