Has anyone read the Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor? They're about princess Alyss of Wonderland who ,unfortunately, falls in to England. There she lives until she is 20 years old, holding back any memories she might have of her far away home in Wonderland. Then as she is attending a ball one night, a friend from Wonderland rescues the princess and spirits her back to wonderland. There the real adventure begins, as she arrives home after many years to find her home in total chaos. Queen Red has taken over and created a place total war. Thus, it is Princess Alyss Hearte's duty to find the peace again and banish Red from Wonderland. This is an awesome book!! Sorry if my description is a little long!

I have. It's okay, but kind of slow, since the real plot doesn't start until three quarters of the way into the book. And Redd is spelled with two D's (the name, not the color).

Oh. That's right! It may be kinda slow but at least it's interesting!!!!! It's cool how they compare the original Alice in Wonderland to Alyss. The second book is only alright. DODGE IS SOOOOO ANNOYING! He should really just say something nice to Alyss instead of just beating around the bush!!! scream But overall I'm excited for the third book because I really want to know what happens to Alyss!

I just bought that book!
I havn't started reading it yet, though. I'm still working on a current one.
It sounds intersting and I can't wait to read it.

I've read both "The Looking Glass Wars" and "Seeing Redd" and I really loved the concept of the story.
I don't think they're very well written though. Maybe it's just not descriptive enough for me?
And I was disappointed in the character of Redd, she comes across as too much of a comedy villain for my liking.
I would've liked the books so much more if they were just a bit darker and more mature.

Yeah, that's exactly my thought. With just a little tweaking they could be so much darker, and the author could still keep the humor in, just tone it down a little. 3nodding

I've never even heard of them. You must like them a lot.

I thought they were okay, as I said before. It was certainly a different perspective, but they were a little disappointing...

That sounds like something I may have to check out. if nothing else, I'll get to be critical of everything they screwed up from the Lewis Carrol originals.

I liked the books too. Mad Hatter and the Cat are my two most favorite characters!!

Okay, it was WAY better than I thought it was going to be. Kudos to the author, and one of the best fight scenes I've read in a LONG time (at the very end). 5 Stars!
