Ok, this idea's been batted from Talk to Museweek '08 Ideas, and has grown enough to deserve it's own thread.

The idea is to record a version of Feeling Good as a guild. With people recording themselves playing it, and sending all the bits to one person who will then mix it together in sweet bliss.

So far, the confirmed people are:
-frozenjakalope - Guitar
-Invincible Cydonian Creep - Piano/Vocals
-Mystik_Angel - Ukelele
-Drum machine - Drums
-Lizzy033 - Piano? (I'm not sure what's going on there with the piano and you and ICC)
Anyone is welcome to participate, just post a reply here and you'll be added to the list.

Edit (ICC): Yes, there are now three of us. With a ukelele. Man this is going to be awesome.

I decided we should be called Originally Symmetrical. Any objections, just let me know.

I'm going to post the chord progression here, for the sake of it.

Verse:
Gm Gm/F Gm/Eb Gm/D Gm Gm/F Gm/Eb Dsus4 D Gm Gm7/F Em7b5 Eb Gm/D Gm/C Gm/Bb A7sus4 C7 D7

Then the verse repeats, with the first four chords twice (this is the bit of the song where the full band kicks in, until that point it's piano/vocal - although we could be different).

2nd Time Ending (after 2nd Verse):
Gm/D Gm/Eb Gm/E Gm/Eb

That Bit Where Matt Uses The Megaphone (you know what I mean...don't you know) has no chords. It's bass and piano and voice. Although we may lack a bassist. But the piano can fill in for this bit (it is possible).

So for the third verse, it's the first 4 chords twice, and then up to the A7sus4...and then coda.

Coda:
C7 A F Eb7 D7 Gm Gm/F Gm/Eb Gm/D Gm Gm/F Gm/Eb Gm/D Gm Gm7/F Em7b5 Eb Gm/D Gm/C Bb A7sus4 D/A C7 D7 Gm

P.S. Hope this works. I have no idea how to post this.

Oh, just a sudden idea I had when I read the words 'feeling good' and 'guild' together: we could play around with the lyrics.

Okay, maybe not.

Heh, I could end up singing it anyways if we have no other volunteers.

I could play the ukelele if you tell me how. blaugh

Fair chance it'll be out of tune though.

I don't know how to play ukelele. Kazoo, violin, and triangle I could help with, but not ukelele.

I may be able to help with a ukelele. No promises, but I'll see what I can come up with.

So it's Mystik playing miscellanious instruments then?

Woo hoo misc!

If the ukelele thing doesnt work out I have a recorder *shudder*, a guitar hero guitar (I can play acoustic xd ) and plenty of things i can turn into intruments (bamboo windchimes, woks, etc etc.). Oh, plus a regular guitar, but only acoustic.

Right, the three chords you need to play it on a Ukulele are:
Gm Bb D
GCEA GCEA GCEA
0231 3211 2225

I don't know when the chord changes are though, so it's only half useful.

ICC, any idea where the changes are?

Sweet. I should be able to do that. =]

I'm confirmed. I deserve to be in the first post...

That might take a bit of working out. I'll get back to you on that one.

(I'm not very good with this whole music caper >.<)

Well, I can help too... the only instrument I know how to play is the piano...hopefully Invincible Cydonia Creep does not mind me doing piano as well...

Hmm...that's a bit awkward if two people are playing it...but if you want to, you can play the piano and I'll stick to singing.
I'm not sure. Think you can get it down by MuseWeek (possibly earlier)? I think that's the main thing to worry about. Would you like me to scan the sheet music in to the computer and send it to you or something?

...well, if it is going to be digitally put together perhaps you can do part one...and I part two or something...but yes, please send me a music sheet so at least I can get an idea...is Gaia PM fine or e-mail?

I just realised what I can do. I can download a powertab for Feeling Good which will give me and idea of how its meant to go and I can apply what I need to the ukelele.

I'm so clever heart xd
