The trickling water flows from the marble-like pillar in the centre of the enormous fountain. It is at least as big as a normal swimming pool, and students often take a quick dip between classes.

Ava walked over to the fountain and sat on the edge of it. She put her hand over the water and smiled.

Harriet sat on the other side of the water, in a blue tunic dress that clashed nicely with her green eyes but went well wih her bue hair. The spray was infront of her, so she could not distinguish Ava. She let water droplets play over her hand, and drip on to her dress. She closed her eyes and thought of the last fountain she had been to that was not this one. Her father was with her, she was 2 days to 13, and her brother, then 14, was splashing her playfully as she shrieked and laughed as the cold water got her, her pale hands in front of her face. She sat on her own now, her father dead and uncertain whether her big brother was too. She sighed, leting the last of the water run through her fingers back into the fountain's pool.

Harry grinned and waggled her fingers in the exact way Ava had. She laughed, and, scooping up a handful of the water, threw it at Ava. "Water fight!" she yelled cheerily.

Harriet laughed, and put her hand half over a cherub's mouth, directing the water towards Ava, laughing. "I've got you! Go, random cherub-goblin-thing!" Harri giggled water running from her hair.

Harry laughed and dived in beside Ava. "Swimming in clothes is the new fashion!" She giggled, water puffing her jeans jacket.

Ava looked up at Max and waved. "Hey Max! What's up?" She moved her wet hair out of her face.
