Right now i'm on the Pen with the Basil.... (SP? XDDD) Bolus treatment.
The hospital I went to for my Diabetes Education (Children's Hospital in DC) wanted me to learn the pen before I moved to a pump.
I really don't mind the shots because my needles are like this long: --
So it's awesome.
Im sort of afraid to put the thing in my stomach for three days.
Gotta go, dinner time! XD Time to Bolus!

Pump all the way 8D
It's soo much easier than shots, you can snack anytime, anywhere without having to get up and go somewhere privite so you can give yourself a shot.
About the needle, it's not in there. It's just the tube, but you probably knew that XD. Or did you? Heh. It's a bit annoying when you put it in, but totally worth it.

Theres this thing for the pen which is similiar... my doctor gave me samples... >w< but I've been too afraid to test it out ^o^ I have crappy insurance... like. ugh. so I doubt mine will be covered... I might have to go back to the N and R routine because my mom is even having a harder time affording the Pen supplies ;__;'

I don't really like the idea of a pump sticking in me all the time... I use pens. The Aspart and Glargine. I love my glargine it's easier than giving two shots of NPH a day. Another reason I don't like pumps to much is because when I give needles in my stomache [when I used to] I could feel the insulin going in and spreading around... it wasn't a fun feeling.

I hate that too. I hate it when it gets caught on something, and then it just rips out. Then I'm going "Aww come on, I don't wanna change it now! gonk "

Heh heh, sorry I have always and still use the insulin shots. I've gotten used to them. To be honest, I don't want a pump. I mean I know it will make life a little bit easier, but I don't want one. I guess I'm just being stubborn sweatdrop

Yeah, same. I think it would just make it harder, because I'd have to adjust to it and I really couldn't bother! I'm quite happy with the shots right now, but the pump might save me from doing 4 shots a day...
Nah! I still rather shots! whee

My name is Caitlyn and I am a pumper all the way. I just got my pump on October 10th of this year (200 cool but I already love it! Shots were just too much for me. I took like 10 of them a day, no joke. I am on an Animas 2020 but I am switching to the Animas Ping in November. I love it!
