Shall we start since we have enough people?

Lirril trudged home from school with a weight in her head that was almost as heavy as the one on her back, clumsily stuffed with folders, three writing journals, several sudoku books (absolutely amazing for passing the time), and many other school assignments that were long past overdue. She'd take care of them, she had kept telling herself. Eventually.

For some reason Lirril couldn't fight that pounding headache that had grown steadily worse since first period. She had tried to do what she normally did: close her eyes, focus on the pain, and count to a hundred. It didn't seem to work. She had just reached ninety-three when her friend Jocelyn whispered from the seat behind her, "Got a headache again Lir?"

She nodded, and then turned to give a false smile. "Just a small one," She lied and returned to taking notes on what the teacher was busily writing on the board. She massaged her temples and sighed. "It should go away quickly, I hope." But it didn't. It seemed to only grow worse.

She also felt restless. Like there was something tugging at the edges of her mind, but every time she tried to look for it, the feeling died and it was replaced by an empty loss. So she struggled through the hot day as she walked, holding her hand to her head and wincing, angry that she ws going to have to cancel her date with Evan later that night. The piercing headache didn't seem ready to go away.

Corinne's head was held up high, but her back released an uncalled for throbbing. Her backpack's strap was hanging away from her backside. It was like just as the eclipse was coming this night. It would be another two years for the next time it would come, but we still had the solar eclipse to think about. This was one of the most mind-boggling things that could happen.

She held her gloves to herself as she reached her house porch. Her mother greeted her inside, but she ignored her and headed to the couch. Her mind was leashing out at her because of her first failed assignment and then she somehow forgot about the sports committee meeting. It was one of the worst days since sixth grade. Corinne wasn't ready for anything else at the moment.

Corinne plopped herself down on the leather couch and closed her eyes. The pitch blackness slowly began to fade into a brilliant gold color. Suddenly, things began to make wind and flutter. "Corinne, what's with that face? Corinne?"

It was her mother who was stood over the couch to her arched body. The throbbing was getting worst. But Corinne's face was a blank, depressed expression. It was like she had lost everything. Slowly she limped towards the remote on the floor. "Nothing, just excited for the eclipse."

Lirril had heard on the news about the big eclipse that was coming that night and had told Evan about it. They planned to spend the evening lying out on the trampaline outside his house and watch the moon dissappear, grow darker, then turn dark red. And maybe they could do a little more. But, as fate would have it, she would never have such good luck.
After she had gotten home from school, she walked into her kitchen to take some Advil. Her mom called from the far corner of the house, "Hey, Lir, how was your day at school?"

"Fine." She had called from the kitchen, rubbing her temples and drinking a mugful of her mom's special hot tea. Supposedly it was good for stress and anxiety. Her mom usually drank it when she had her frequent headaches from work. It wasn't always easy being a doctor. "It was alright, I guess."

"Don't worry, hon," Her mom walked into the kitchen, wrapped in cables and wires. "It sometimes takes a couple days to get adjusted to a new school. You'll make plenty of new friends here at Lakeside."

I already have friends at my old school. "Did you get the cable hooked up yet?"

Her mom frowned. "You know, I might end up needing to call a guy to install all the cables. I can't tell any of them apart and I nearly fell off the ladder trying to hook up the speakers."

Lirril nodded. She had told her mom from the start that they'd need to get a cable guy to work on it, which she had objected to most vehemenently. Her mom wanted to be the kind of person who could teach Lirril these things, she knew, but it seemed that hooking up the cable and home entertainment system--well, it wasn't exactly brain surgery. So her mom was clueless.

"I'm going to take a walk, I've got a serious headache."

"Would you like me to come with you?"

"Uh, no, I'm fine. I just need to clear my head a little." She slipped through the door before her mom could object. As she walked, dusk hit, and then it grew dark. Something felt wrong, but she couldn't place what it was. Her mind reeled, and she began feeling dizzy. Slowly the colors and shapes all around her began to blur and smear into indistinct shapes and fuzzy lines. She felt a tug from something. Tugging at the very center of her body. Then it came again, harder. Something was pulling her towards somewhere, but who and where? Her whole body began to ache. Like a thousand needles puncturing her skin, breaking her into pieces, ripping, stretching. She was only distantly aware that she was on her knees now. Pain. Pain. Pain.

Then it stopped.

(Alright, finally some activity razz )
Charles was coming home from work. He heard about a weird eclipse. "Sounds cool" he thought. He got home, cook himself up some super, and took a shower. After putting on some fresh clothes, he went to the park to watch the eclipse. He sat down on the bench and looked at the sky while munching on some snacks he made for himself.

Tears were falling across a pale, clear face. Her eyes were closed and her expression sad and alone. The girl became to stand up, her dress was torn, but was lucky because underneath she wore tattered looking leggings of some sort.

"We banish you from here! Leave at once!"

"Father, why? I haven't done anything!"

Everything else went blank expect for a burst of light. It was Isis. Her appearance was overwhelming and it drew blank yet again. Only a yelp called out as the vision went out.

"You better hurry up, Corinne!" Her older brother yelled as she came from the staircase. "I think it's about it start."

"Yeah, I heard you." Corinne picked up her steady pace. "Also, pain killers wouldn't do a thing for me. It's not like a headache."

The brother chuckled and turned the TV on. The screen was set on some cooking show that their mother must have been watching. As Corinne arrived and managed to sit down she grasped for the remote, but utterly failed. Her brother turned to the daily news of Lakeside. The reporter Bruce Hanks was sitting in a cozy looking chair and he began to fix his hair.

"Isn't he like thirty eight or something?" Sean, the older sibling asked. The reporter looked like he was still in his mid 20s. Lucky him.

Charles kept looking up at the sky waiting for the eclipse. On occasion, he would spot a cute girl. When one would walk by, he would divert his attention from the sky, and look at the features of the passing girl. If he liked what he saw, he would raise an eyebrow, but returned his attention to the sky to avoid the girl looking at him. He had a pretty hard day at work, so resting on a park bench was really doing him some good.

I gritted my teeth, angry at myself for thinking of the bizarre dream I have been having for the past three months. It involves people who I have never seen before in my life and the wierdest part is that the person who i am is an assassin who is hired to kill weak and baby hewbrews.
I would wake in tears and sweat wondering where I was.
**
My mom had a date who I really hated, his name is Daren and he's my teacher. Which she said since she had a date I could go see the eclipse in the park, I didn't really care for the eclipse but I didn't want to be home when they came home. They really hit it off, if you know what i mean.
**
It was eight thirdy and all was quiet in the park which was surprizing since it was filled with all kinds of people...

Charles realized that night fell already. He looked around to find all sorts of people waiting for the eclipse. "Wow, guess it was a good idea to come early."

The girl wakled through the park with sagging shoulders. The rest of the night so far seemed so anticlimactic to her huge headache from before. It was as if something was pulling her away, but then found her unsatisfactory, and spit her back out. She sighed. Her headaches had dissappeared, Lirril noticed as she walked passed a bench with some creepy guy who kept staring at her. She jogged a bit further off and waited with another couple families who had come to see the eclipse.

But instead of painful headaches, she began seeing flashes of color; gold and silver, shadowy figures. Then there were new smells of perfumes and lavender and sweat. Heat from a sun that was not there. Lirril could neither explain it nor make them go away, but the sights and smells - sometimes sounds too: of laughing and voices in a foreign tongue - seemed to feel so very at home in her mind, and she couldn't help herself imagining what those laughing people were saying. Oh, I hope I'm not going crazy...

"Look, mommy, it's starting!" Squealed a young boy standing beside her, pointing excitedly.

She looked up and felt a sudden pain, and then a sensory overload of feelings.

She was standing in a palace, drinking a rich wine with the other nobles. Laughing, drinking. Why, even the young prince had been dressed up to attend the celebrations. He was turning nine today, the young boy. Hardly old enough to fight, yet it would mark his first lessons. He looked so much older dressed in those expensive kingly garments...

Now she was doubled over in the grass. Nobody paid attention, so rapt were their gazes on the eclipse.

"Would you mind it if I had a fresh breath of air, Pharoah? I am feeling rather ill."
"Well, of course not, daughter. Go, but be back presently. We have guests to entertain." Cold air on her skin. Fresh air in her lungs. The night sky settling peacefully on the rolling sand dunes, outlined against rows of makeshift housing of the peasants. She turned her nose up at them. Peasants.

The pain was unbearable now. Lirril didn't know what, but something was coming, something was coming to spirit her away in the night. But she didn't know what.
