Kuasta's coast is a stretch of land that is quite isolated from the rest of Farthen-Dur. It is surronded by the ocean, the Spire Mountains, and a large stretch of land with no villages for miles, which is why Kuasta is difficult to reach. The climate is warm and the fishing is prosperous, making Kuasta an ideal place to live, except for the pirate attacks.

Shioko had just woken up from the burning suns rays that shined through her window. She rubbed her eyes and twisted into the sitting position placing her feet on the floor. She stood and stretched. Shioko's parents had long since been dead from a terrible pirate raid. They had killed her parents while she hid in the closet. Shioko lived alone with no one but an old maid of the family who had been away when her parents were killed. Shioko stumbled to her drawers where she pulled out a plain brown dress with long sleeves. The ocean brought strong cold breezes every day, to avoid freezing while doing her morning chores she always wore long sleeves dresses. She pinned up her long black hair, then having a seat on a rocking chair made of wood and painted pink in her room and put on her boots. She tied them tight and then stood. She walked making small thuds all the way outside. She first tended to the flowers and then went to feed the horses and milk the cow and give it foder. After her chores, she came inside and made herself some tea. It took only a few minutes. She then retired to the shore of the ocean where she walked alone along the white sand the ocean waves crashing and the white foam reaching almost to her feet and then receiding. She drank from her cup the tea was strong and woke her up more than she already was. Her green eyes watched the waves crash into the rocks randomly placed out in the ocean. She silently drank her tea only the noise of strong wind whisping past her ears, and the rumbling of the waves penitrated the silence.

Shioko looked away from the ocean. Her green eyes looked to the sand. The waves were coming closer so she walked to a boulder where she thought of many thing sbeside this world they lived in. It had just showed up from the sea one day. Shioko thought it looked peculiarly like an egg, it felt more like leather than rock, but she didn't really think about it much. She climbed on top of it and sat there but felt it breaking. It ripped open so quickly that she fell into goo. She held her brfeath and looked over to see a not too big baby black dragon. She swam up out of the goo and fell out of the egg as the dragon broke from the egg. It was pitch black with red eyes. Shioko stared at it as it staggered. It then came over to her and stared at her. She scooted back hitting the oceans water. The dragon just followed her. Still shocked she freaked a bit and stood, it rubbed against her cheek. She then calmed, she patted its head, "I'll call you Ayame." She said in a soft voice and smiled leading her to their barn that was epty from the life stocks death.

Shioko finished hiding the dragon. She came back inside, her maid looking at her with a peculiar face. "Shioko!" She called out, her maid was like her mother, she nagged her all the time and never left her alone. The oldf maid waddled up to Shioko with her bifocals on. She blinked twice and then asked, "Whay are you covered in goo?" She asked. Shioko looked down, her clothes draped on her body hanging low from the weight. "I um..." She thought a moment, "I went swimming and when I came back my clothes were covered in goo. Any way..." She said trying to avert her attention, "Why don't you make me some food I'm starved." She said and left the room walking back to her bedroom. She shut the door and leaned against it. She sighed with great relief. "Dear god..." She said softly, "It's like my mom never died." Said a frustrated Shioko. Who now yanked her clothing over her head. She threw it on the floor. She then stepped into the shower that broke off from her room. She showered and came out her hair wavy. She wrapped a clean white towel around her body and went into her room going through her things looking for a good dress to wear. She found one and put it on quickly. She then walked to the old maid who had prepared her food already. "Alright deary here's your food, I must run into town today, so you'll have to be home alone. I'llget you some dresses while I'm there what colors would you like?" She asked. Shioko gorged on the food before her. When she said she was hungry, she meant it! Shioko looked up, "Ocean blue and spring grass green." She said quickly and got back to her food. "Alrighty." Said the old maid, "Bye." She said and left. Shioko was often home alone and she could not cook so what she ate now lasted her till the old maid got home.

" Alright Ruchlos, I know you know how to fight and keep your self from plenty of harm, that I have no doubt about. but this island shall we call it is just that." the captain comments as he lays out a large map. the ink and texture showed it was a bit old but he boasted that it was as current as it needed to be. " there is not a near by town nor walkable path from this port back to the world. their i think is one land path that leads back through the Spire mountains and in towards the Leona lake, with the nearest city being Belatona. but these mountains are vishious, deadly, even the king himself dares not stay near them fear of losing more of his army like the last time he tried to cross them. i have herd of people crossing these places a few times before but not many and even then they were still plagued with the trickery of the woods round about them." as the Capitan spoke he drew out the genera areas the unused path and the areas that Ruchlos would want to pay the most attention to. leaving little to the imagination as to what he should be doing at this point. " but that would be simpler than the alternative, better to pit your self against the land than a hundred, imperial sailors that check each and every faerie crossing that stretch of water, the hundred of posters with your face now known to them, and still this storm will be making things interesting to land safely..." smiling brightly the captain look up from the map to study the man that brought his vessel so much power on the waters, even now if they were to approach a vessel all they would have to do is fly their colors and they would surrender instantly turn pale from the stories. heh, come now my boy you never looked this bad before on your first fight your face was flush why the sudden change."

"That was ship on ship with around thirty men at a max to fight not thousands! Ruchlos exclaims as he keeps his eyes locked on the map trying to find a different way to move about the land but the captain knew what he was talking about. even to head back south would lead him through more heavily guarded ports and much more ground to cover.

"bull s**t! you fought that hold boat alone and still hungered for more dont tell me that style of crap. you never were a good lier Ruchlos... now i can talk to a fe of my friends d get you small boat for yourself and maybe one more given that their is not baggage to take along. but even then you will have to move at night and hide during the days."

"Sir, i..." Trying to thin of an excuse for his current deminor he changed his mind knowing the captain was right. "Thank you but if you are about to head home for a peaceful life id rather not interfere."

" Thats fine as well but their is something that i have been meaning to give you for a wile now i just never got to it."Waling over to a small chest the Captains appearance shifts slightly to a bit more of a drill and ceremony's style of movements, or at least rehearsed many many times, as he pulls out a Turban with the same skull design on it but the back round instead of being the deep blood red, was a deep hue of purple nearly black like his bed cover. " this sash is given to the best fighter of my family's clan. granted my family has been reduced to myself and my wife back home. but im sure that all of my ancestors would be proud if you would take it and carry on our tradition with you, even if it is just one more generation." with the soft silk being handled like it was pure gold as the captain handed it over towards Ruchlos's slightly hesitant but still hungering hands for the recognition of being art of the Fire Lizard Clan.
" ow their is one more thing i need to tell you, with that sash their are many more colors that can be made and their level of closeness to you are now based on you. if this were the older days you would be considered the king warrior. a number one if you will. this will being you power but also many enemy's."

"I understand." Ruchlos replys calmly as he studys the etching on the silk for a few seconds before he lashes it around his sword letting he symbol shimmer lightly in the candle light.

"Than their is nothing i can do for you my boy, take that mark with pride and get off my boat before i make you walk the plank."

"Yes Sir!" Nearly bolting from the room Ruchlos runs straight up to the edge of the ship and hurls himself into the raging ocean as the vessel continue to head in to dock.

With the rising of the morning sun, the storms heavy effects have passed leaving a soft and gentle rain falling towards the ground that acted more like a Myst than anything. but the few and blood red rays of light that pierced into the mall harbor that Ruchlos had drifted into the night before. with his struggle taking the largest tole he could remember in his life time on his body. he kept his body still a the slightly warming rays of the sun conflicted with the cooling rain and the crashing waves from the sea. still his bowls ached and his head was dizzy from the effects of the sea water that he accidentally swallowed. but his left hand softly gripped at the sand beneath his body pulling a soft smile to his lips as the memories of his home, and what he can do here compared to the captains boat. the dark purple turban was tightly clenched in hi right hand as his sword was still drifting in the waves a few feet away form him.
"what a wild ride that was... i wonder if their is any one that i can get to escort me around this place. but than again im a wanted vagabond, i doubt I'll get any help from the villagers here." turning his body over to its side he slowly works himself to his knees and hands then to hie feet after a few second. "Still, i won't make it much farther with out some food, and a plan on how to get to the kings command." Retaking his sword form the waters grip he looks down the shore line and then to the fort just beyond the sand.
"I think that heading don the shore would be a poor sighing point. " remembering that on the mp that the shores near the mountains were as scattered and rigid the spire mountains them selfs. so he tuned his attention in towards the forest behind him and started southward knowing that the main port should be close by. "one nights rest if we can afford it but after that is inland... somehow." he thinks to himself as his feet start to speed up after a short wile as his body regains the feeling of being land lock once again.

After a few minuets of trudging through the woods he finally shoves himself on to the beach as he nearly collapses on the sands. sweat had been pouring off his skin for the better part of the morning an still dripped every few seconds despite the cooling sea breeze. "well... this is a lot harder than i expected." he comments to himself as he looks up and down the beaches spotting some one in the distance but figured that these people would stick to themselves. at least he hoped they would

"You would offer your home to a total stranger that more than likely was washed up by the sea?" he asks his voice seaming a bit cold despite his hunger to keep in contact with this girl. "adolescence?" he think to himself remembering fe stories from his father about being a wild young man on the island.

Shioko watched him, watching his actions and looking over his stance. "Yes..." She replied, "Yes I would." She continued. "Now please come with me to my home and you can rest and eat and drink." She said softly and without his reply, she began to help him down the beach to her house. Water soaked the brim of her dress as they walked down the beach, Shioko in the wet sand. Slowly they approached her home and she brought him inside sitting him down on a strong wooden chair by their table. She then went and got water from the well bringing it to him. "Here." She said handing him the glass. She then looked for some food for him to eat, rummaging through all of the cabinets. She finally found something, it was just some bread but she took it out and set it on the table. "There, sorry I don't really know how to cook." She said and smiled softly.

Looking at the girl with a blank stair for a few moments his body froze in its stance with one of his arms crossed over his stomic, and his other handing almost lifeless on his swords handle with the dark purple sash still attached to its steel hand guard. hisl egs were a bit shaky though he wouldn't let someone he just met see that as he did his best to keep them locked. with his thirst now starting to make its self known to his thought and his heart he drops his eyes down towards the ground. "Whats this feeling?" he thinks to himself as his chest feels a bit warmer than it was before even with the fires of the sun and his walk through the woods seamed to dim in comparison but he eventually looked up fro the ground ow covering his boots in a soft lace and peered into the girls eyes.

"Its all right" He comments with the same tone he sed before as he takes a small piece of bread. though his hunger and thirst were starting to drive him crazy he still ate and drank a small amount just to test if their was anything in them that would affect his motor skills or maybe kill him.
he knew his reputation and what the price was for his head weather it was still attached to his body or not. that and the fact that this girl was acting as if she knew him like a lover or good friend as making him worry even more. dispite her good intentions if any his guard was still on high as one hand rested with a light grip on his sword and the sash tied to the handle.

Shioko could not remember most of the people from her childhood. So she thought that maybe this man was familiar because of that. She noticed his hand on his sword. She was a bit confused. She looked at him for a bit longer, he was a bit handsome, in the kind of way that was suddle. Shioko then left the room. Leaving him to do as he wished. She went into her bedroom and began to look through her old photographs to see if any of the people in the photo's slightly resembled this man. She knew she probably wouldn't find anything but her hopes were high. Shioko was looking for anyone to tell her about her childhood, that one night that the pirates came and attacked her family she had gotten knocked out by a box falling from a shelf onto her head. The maid had helped her because Shioko had lost all memory, so her life was just a blur from that night and back. She couldn't find anything that slightly resembled him, she got so frustrated that she threw the box on the floor. Not yelling though. She stood and stared at the floor, the photo's scattered about. She could see all the faces that she didn't know. She placed a hand on her head and pulled her hair back. She sighed and began to pick up the photo's.

Hearing the thud of the girls box hi the floor Ruchlos got a bit frigidity and ate the rest of the loaf quickly and gulped down the water before heading to a small door across the room from where he was. hoping for the best, though their was not much of a reason to hope for it he waited for a few moments waiting to see what or who came looking for him next.

Shioko came out of her room after putting away her photo's. "Damn it, I hate my memory!" She yelled walking out into the kitchen. "Where'd he go?" She asked softly looking out the front door, and the back. "Why would he have left so soon, he looked exhausted. He should have spent the night. For maybe a week or something." She said softly and walked over to the counter grasping her canteen and drinking the water out of it.
