So, I just saw the movie adaptation of Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant. Anybody else seen it? What other adaptations of the book have you seen? Which is your favorite? Any other comments? (Hugh Grant talk is encouraged!!)

I have a hold on that movie right now, and it's just waiting at the library for me to pick up. I really want to see it!!! whee
As I've said, the only movie adaptation I've seen so far is the 2005 Pride and Prejudice, but I really wanna see more.
EDIT: I also really wanted to see the version of Persuasion that was PBS a couple weeks ago, but I missed it, and I don't know if its available anywhere yet. Anthony Head = awesome.

You could always check YouTube, too...Anthony Head plays Sir Walter Elliot, the deplorable father....he's brilliant!
I own S&S w/Emma Thompson. It's one of my sister's and my favorite movies...

...wish I owned it, but I am not much into buying movies...CD albums are my thing (yeah, yeah, I know ancient stuff, now with MP3s...). Though, the good thing is that I can always watch it on Netflix, it is on the instant watch list.

I love Alan Rickman. Sigh.
It's such a great movie. On my list of movies to buy, along with the modernized Romeo and Juliet, and Strictly Ballroom.
Actually, you know, I might buy it next time I see it. I just love Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman.

It's always the way, when I look for something I can't find it. I looked for Baz Luhrmann's Red Curtain Trilogy and couldn't find it, and now looking for Sense and Sensibility, I can't find it either. >.<
