The room is full with padded mats on the floor, vaulting horses, balance beams, ropes, swinging hoops, and many more aids in gymnastic ambitons. A few signs tell the students to remember to take of shoes and change into their gym clothes before entering, with a small arrow poiting to the seperate doors of the changing rooms, headed Boys and Girls.

Ava came out of the changing rooms, wearing an over-sized t-shirt and black shorts. Her hair was up in a ponytail. She stretched and then walked over to a balance beam. She heaved herself up and stood there dor a second.

She looked down at the balance beam, she was standing on. She did a cartwheel on it. She then did a hand-stand and stayed there. She was trying to balance herself.

Harriet, standing by the doorway in her kit, clapped. "Youre good! We should to a team show!" She grinned at her as she strolled over, and flipped herself up to land on the balance beside Ava.

Ava laughed as she was still balancing. She slowly removed her left hand and tried balancing on one hand. She fell. "Aw, man!" She said, quickly getting back up on the balance beam.

"Oops, sorry, didn't mean to distract you! Here, watch me." Harriet flipped onto both hands. "Concentrate on one bit of the floor, I'm looking at that plank with the burn mark, and still completely concentrating on that spot, raise yourself to one hand. If you can keep it for a minute youve mastered!" Harriet grinned, upside-down, and swapped hands fluently. "You try!" She laughed, and flipped down to the blue mat to give Ava space.

Ava walked to the blue mat. "Ok.." She did a hand-stand and concentrated. She slowly removed her left hand off the mat. She looked at the blue mat.

"You got it! Now you've gotta hold it, and keep concentrating." Harri did a flip beside her, testing her concentration.

Ava smiled and concentrated on the mat. She looked down at it and took a deep breath. She held it for a couple of minutes.

Harry clapped her hands. "Yey! Bet you youve mastered it!" Harry grinned. She loved talking about gymnasics, and doing it, for her brother if not for herself.

Ava fell to the ground on purpose and smiled at Harriet. She clapped. "Yay!"

"Um, ok." She nodded and walked to a different balance beam nearby. She got up on top of it and concentrated. She did a cartwheel on the balance beam.
