I know this might be a stupid question, but here goes...How many novels of Devil May Cry are there? (I found the first one for the first game, but I was just curious of how many there were)

Pretty sure there's only 1 but I have heard something about a second novel, but they might of been talkinga bout the second "graphic novel"

there are two novels and two graphic novels the fist novel is damn good the second one is insaine and has an alternate demention wher vegil/nelo angelo is going against mudus and the demons prettty insaine but yes only 2 all together

Yeah, the first novel leads up to the events of the first game, with the second novel leading up to the events of the second. The second novel was okay, the alternate dimension thing was a bit weird and (IMO) kinda geeky, but meh, it's Devil May Cry, it can do whatever the hell it wants razz
There are also two graphic novels/manga, but they're incomplete. A third one was planned, which supposedly would show Arkham sacrificing his wife seeing as the second showed them as a relatively happy family (granted, Arkham is still worshipping demons, he just hasn't killed anyone yet)
Alas, it was never made nor released. Not that it matters, we all already know what happens in the end anyway domokun

The novels... er... they were okay, but it's seriously mindblowing if you actually try to fit the first novel anywhere near DMC3, since Dante's alias just happens to be Tony until then and he has serious repressed memory issues... not to mention the whole "someone else made Dante's guns for him" thing which goes against the first game, but the fact that they seem to acknowledge that detail in the DMC1 anime AND DMC3 is no help...

Marsuru Alas, it was never made nor released. Not that it matters, we all already know what happens in the end anyway domokun I wanted to see more Dante and Vergil goodness (or evilness, either way).

From what I have seen, there are only two novels, but I heard from a friend of mine that there is another one and states that Nero is Vergil's son. I'm not sure if it is true or not though, mew. And now it has been clarified that there are two Devil May Cry 4 novels that are out in Japan right now, and from what I hear they aren't all that good, the explain a few scenes that were deleted in the DMC4 game and hint that Vergil is Nero's father, well anyways, just thought you all would like to know that.
