question Riddles-Week 1 question

arrow I am a three digit number.
My tens digit is five more than my ones digit.
My hundreds digit is eight less than my tens digit.
What number am I? exclaim The answer is 194; thanks Estepario!!

idea Estepario: A man walks into a bar and asks for a glass of water
(the bartender and he dont know each other).
The bartender pulls out a shotgun and aims at the man´s head.
The man says "thank you" and leaves. What happened? exclaim The man in the bar has hiccups (from drinking beer, I guess) he wants the water to cure the hiccups, but it doesn't work. Pointing the gun at him scares his hiccups away. That's right, Anti_Halifax!! Good job!

arrow How many letters are in the alphabet? exclaim The answer is 11; thanks Cairyn!!

arrow There was a man one night. He started to run straight forward. Then he turned left. Soon after, he turned left again. Then he started running toward home. When he got home there were 2
masked men waiting for him. Who were all three men? exclaim The answer is the first man is the batter, the other two are the catcher and umpire. They're playing baseball!! Thanks, Nazgeth!

arrow You are standing in front of a room with one lightbulb inside of it. You cannot see if it is on or off. Outside the room there are 3 switches in the off positions. You may turn the switches any way you want to. You stop turning the switches, enter the room and know which switch controls the lightbulb. How? exclaim The answer is that you turn 2 switches "on" and leave 1 switch "off" and wait about a minute. Then enter the room, but just before you enter, turn one switch from "on" to "off". Once in the room, feel the lightbulb - if it is warm, but off, it has to be the last switch you turned off. If it is on, it has to be the switch left on. If it is cold and is off, it has to be the switch you left in the off position. That's number two for you Estepario!! biggrin

idea Nazgeth: Two bodies I have; Though both joined in one; The more still I stand; The quicker I run.

arrow A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

The only stipulation the teacher made was that the pen could not be lifted from the paper until the line was complete. How can this be done?

Some people believe that this is because when cats lay on their side they need insulation from the cold on the floor or ground. i know some Zen riddles but they are not the kind you can get an answer in the common sense

So, riddle me this:
(its pretty easy but anyways...)

A man walks into a bar and asks for a glass of water
(the bartender and he dont know each other)
The bartender pulls out a shotgun and aims at the man´s head
The man says "thank you" and leaves.

What happened?

*Its a lateral thinking riddle.
*There is no double meaning or anything sneaky like that.
*It makes sense, i promise 3nodding

If this is as literal as it sounds, then there are 11 letters in 'the alphabet'.
Is that the answer?

On the light bulb one:

You turn one switch on and leave it like that for a wile, then turn it off, then fast turn other one on, walk into the room and touch the light bulb:

*If its on the switch is the one you left on
*If its off and cold the switch is the one you never turned on
*If its off and warm its the one you turned on and off
