Well, I've just started the new Gaia quest involving the Spiderwick movie and I was wondering if anyone had actually read the books that it's based on. It looks neat, but I personally normally prefer to read the book first, then see the movie.

I read them back when they were coming out and they were decent, but the reading level is for like 3-6th graders, even though the storyline is pretty good... From the looks of the previews, I think the books are going to better than the movie, but what else is new?

I figured they were for younger readers from the age of the protagonist. But I like reading kids books anyway ^_^. It gives my brain a rest from the stuff they have me read at school. It's my candy.

It's my candy. Yeah, I still read stuff my little brother and sister check out, the books are done in about an hour, but it's just enough for my brain to reset^^;

I really like the books. The books are actually so good, I'm still thinking if I should see the movie or not.

I saw the movie but I haven't read the books. Are they as good as the movie? Or better? Or worse?
