I can't draw or paint very well. I'm not good at digital stuff and my fingers stumble at sewing. My creative outlet is scrapbooking so I'm going to show off some of my pages.

I don't have a scanner so the details won't show up too well so I'll try my best to describe them as much as possible.

One of my oldest and dearest friends, Richard, lives in Eugene, Oregon. He moved there from Ohio where I am just before our senior year of high school. We've been able to keep in touch over the years through MySpace or Facebook which has been great. I was so happy when I received this card from him on Christmas Eve! And, the cute little pictures of him and his boyfriend, Shane. I had to scrapbook this little gift. I didn't add any flashy stickers other than the title and the journaling tags. I wanted the page to be simple so none of the focus was taken away from the card or pictures.

What's more exciting is hopefully this summer I'll be able to fly out to see him on my vacation week! So you'll see more layouts from my trip! But, that's not til July.

Wicked is one of my favorite plays! So, when I heard it was coming to Cleveland next month, I jumped at the opportunity to go and splurged on 2 tickets. My boyfriend and I are going on the 9th. This page was more done out of boredom than anything and it's not quite done yet. I measured out the calendar on plain pink paper and mounted it to green patterned cardstock. Then, I outlined it to cover the pencil and wrote the dates and how many days left til the show. On the green paper, I added quotes from the soundtrack and two witch hats. I used pink and green to go with Glinda, the good witch and Elphaba, the wicked witch.

I'm going to add more to it somehow. Just not sure what. I don't want to take the focus off the calendar but it looks very plain right now. I'll see what happens and what I come up with in the future to add to it.

This is one of my favorite pages. In the spring the wysteria bush in my front yard bloomed for the first time ever! Big, beautiful purple flowers. I loved it! It's only a shame my Gram didn't get to see them sad

This is for Froggy. A layout of my pictures I took at her wedding when her and John were cutting the cake. No extra embelishment was needed. I had a bunch of rose patterned paper in different colors that I used for each page and I thought this sort of off white was perfect for the cake. I had to do some cropping and sliced one in half to get them all on one page but it worked out well. Only thing I added was a little heart sticker

This was at the costume party at my church on Oct 17. I made a page with some of my closest friends who came with me and, except for Leah who was a witch and Nikki who was a hippie, we all did the 50s theme. I think I might make some pictures in black and white or sepia or something to frame and make them look like old time pictures. That would be cool.

This is a 2 page layout of the "Parade of Costumes." Everyone lined up and we voted on the best one. Betty Lou won the best. On the left page in the bottom corner you'll see the lady with the horse. That's Betty Lou. Her costume was so cute! She had a "fan in her fanny" to keep it inflated controlled by a little switch she kept in her shirt pocket.

Me and one of my best friends, Katie, at our night with the old folks in October. She and I helped at a senior citizen dance in my town and it was a lot of fun. It's amazing how well some people can still move in their 70s, 80s, and maybe even 90s!
