Kits grow fast you know... and it seemed like almost no time before Seraphina had grown into a teen. She was rather rambunctious and energetic. The black and pink splotched phoenix girl seemed to always be looking for adventure or just something to do. Although she had yet to actually remember anything from her past.
Infact, now the little angelic was outside of the Realm HQ, enjoying herself as she romped through the snow. The cold not seeming to bother her in the slightest as she pranced around, making pawprints. Her laughter could be heard above the wind as it blew, carrying with it yet more snowflakes to cover the ground even more.

The teen's three tails waved about behind her, one being noticably shorter than the other, but whether she had actually noticed that shorter tail or cared.. remained to be seen. Many other kitsu would probably be rather insecure with the fact.

Pausing a snow drift, the little angelic concentrated for a moment... then her body seemed to burst into roaring flames for just a moment before it almost instantly vanished. She grinned with delight as she saw that all the snow within five feet of her had completely melted... leaving a bare patch of soggy earth around her. How cool!

Yes indeed, time had flown. And thankfully at a calm and content rate. The angelic trio had managed to stay near together, the two adults not risking any chances away from the child. No need to loose another comrade, especially one reduced to being so young.
The HQ as their little retreat, and winter still promising snow, Embry had agreed to Sera's bouts of wishing to go outside. He was such a pushover, honestly. The adult male had followed the darker female outside, and while she scampered in the snow, he tread the patio. Back and forth, repeated over and over some times. It was an often occurance to take turns watching Sera, and Embry to the responsibility dearly. An occasional glance given to the teen, before scanning their surroundings. Always the same.

His routine was halted as a sudden glow lit his silver eyes, the male canting his head t othe source. Playing with her fire ability again? Light wings adjusted as Embry walked down the patio towards the other angelic. "Seraphina, must you do that all the time?" He was sure there'd be a forest fire eventually, and often told her so. Despite how fascinating her ability was.

Ears flicked forward as he sat down on the corner. Embry scanned the air for the other angelic, Sai. She should be back any moment now. Tail tipped drapped off the edge, waving in antsy patience.

Sera was now a teenager, but seeing the newly grown teen everyday made little difference in the eyes of Sai. She could hardly notice she grew so large in such a short amount of time. Of course, she could tell the little one was growing by the rapid increase of appetite as well as the size difference between the two of them. Now the little phoenix child was no longer a midget compared to her or Embry. On top of the physical increase in size, Seraphina's powers were more apparent as of late. Her fiery flames melted the ice whenever she went outdoors. It seemed almost everything was back to normal--save the fact that she probably still didn't remember her past life. Sai could only wonder if when she reached adulthood, would she remember on her own accord? Or would the two of them have to remind her? Neither options pleased her. Though the past is important, she would much rather the little girl grew up not remembering the horrors of war. Colorful wings flapped inwards rapidly as she prepared for a landing. Her light colored paws patted against the cool ground as she landed. Purple eyes glanced around quickly before she made her way towards the couple. Things seemed safe. No enemies in the near-by area. The threesome was safe for now.

The phoenix girl looked up with a bright grin as Embry approached her and posed his question, "Of course!" was her reply, "Its fun!" Well being a phoenix it was almost required for her to be a bit of a pyromaniac. Would do no good if she was afraid of her own flames, eh? She laughed, her tails wagging behind her in glee. She loved all this snow! It was so cool! Nuzzling Embry, she then went back to her romping.
That is until she noticed Sai descending from the sky and landing nearby. Letting out a joyous shout, Seraphina made a run for her to nuzzle her as well. To Seraphina, Embry and Sai were mom and dad... even if they allowed her to call them that or not. After all, she had grown up around the both of them. They had raised her.

Of course. The adult angelic could only tilt his head to her response, letting her have her way of it. It'd be more fun though if the flame didn't necessarily burn others. At least then her antics could include others than just herself. Embry's framed tensed subtly as Sera gave her habitual nuzzle, a reaction he held no matter how often the action. But he gave her a smile, and even swiped at her bob tail as she bounded off. Energetic angelic, just like she had been as an adult.
A small glimpse of pale color in the sky had Embry glancing up carefully. Their third comrade had made it home alright then. And it seemed Sera was quick to noticing Sai as well, darting off in her direction. With a more suppressed enthusiasm, Embry too rose, stretching legs as he left the HQ patio. "Welcome back Sai. Was your flight okay?" Ears twittered as he glanced over none the less, checking for anything ruffled or scratched.

As she tucked her wings in, she didn't quite expect Sera to give her a quick nuzzle. Sai recieved it better than Embry, and even gave an embrace to the energetic teenager. Even though Sai wasn't the birth mother of Sera, the young teen had every right to call her mother. It didn't matter to the colorful female, she felt very maternal when it came to Seraphina. Raising her from a kit up to now, she was her mother practically.
Her eyes wandered over towards her other comrade as he approached, a small nod in response, "Thank you. Yes, it was, I am quite fine, thank you. There are no Nightmares in proximity, we will be alright here for a while. Worry not," she smiled softly.

She glanced back towards the bundle of energy, "I trust you are having fun, Seraphina?"

She always noticed how Embry tensed up when she tried to give him affection, but it didn't seem to bother her. She just kind of hoped that maybe one day he would get over it... and you know.. maybe give it in return. After all.. she cared about him, both of them.. since they had been raising her and they had been there as far back as she could remember.
She recieved and returned the embrace to her 'mom' as she would call her, tails wagging happily before she started prancing in the snow again.. leaving melted spots behind her. An impish grin was tossed back to Sai at her question, "Oh yeah! The snow is great!"

The phoenix girl then broke out into a run, kicking up the white stuff as she went. Her little wings then spread out and she took into the air. She wasn't a master flyer yet.. but she wasn't bad either. Looping around, she soared back towards the other two, gaze tilting down to look at them as she passed. However, when she did so, her expression suddenly became ashen and distant. The teen not paying attention to where she was flying and plunged into some trees. Several limbs clipping her little body, causing her to flip and then take a tumble to the ground. A couple yelps signaling her accident before there was a thud in the snow.

Worry not. So Embry nodded in understanding while turning his attention evenly between the two females. They got along so easily, and the male couldn't ask for a better bonding. But the simple knowledge of who the kit was hindered his ability to bond as well. He didn't view her as some abandoned kit that they had come to claim. She was Seraphina, and always would be. So to give himself a parental title, Embry couldn't bring himself to do. If that 'pychic' angelic had never told them so, it'd have been no issue for the male..
The adult gave a light sigh as Sera raced off the ground for flight. She was learning fast and it was something to be proud of. Embry moved and seated himself beside Sai as they watched the teen. But any calm or conversation to be had was lost as the younger angelic made a crash landing in some nearby trees. Wincing, Embry spread his wings and soared over to the general area, spotting the dark form among the brush. "Seraphina. What happened?" She wasn't that clumsy. His light paws moved out to dust the other off, feeling over for cuts or bruises as well.

Sai had always felt fairly maternal about most things. Just because they were comrades didn't hinder her from feeling motherly towards Seraphina at all. In fact, even in the midst of the war she felt the same towards all her comrades. They were her comrades in battle, as well as friends during troubling times. Despite being their leader, she worried about them the same way a mother, a friend and a leader would. What could she say? She was a natural mother.
Even though she worried for Seraphina, she knew enough about the young teenager to know there was no need for any major hurrying. Embry was a natural worrier, and even though Sai was, it wasn't as if Seraphina broke anything. Just a little flying accident. Every new learner went through this phase.

Shifting her paws to stand herself up, purple orbs gazed towards the couple not too far off in the distance. The adult female made her way towards the two of them at a moderate pace, a soft smile on her face. "You are alright, yes? Always pay attention to your surroundings when you are flying. This is a valuable lesson to you." Sai cared deeply for Seraphina, but she was no push-over either.

Having had the wind knocked out of her, Seraphina couldn't breathe for a few moments until there was finally a sharp intake. Her body quivered as she shakily got to her paws. She was stunned... and while this accident was rather embarassing, there was another element to it as well. When Embry came over, she threw her paws around him and buried her face in his fur. "I saw things!" she whimpered like a frightened kit, still shaking and obviously quite upset.
She heard Sai's words, but didn't really respond to them. Only little sobs came from her at the moment.

Heart tattooed ears fled back as Embry blinked to Seraphina's actions. She had gasped...was she injured? But the little female stood, looking little more than stunned and confused. It had been quite a fall, the male thought as he peered up at the trees that acted as her brake. Embry made a small ooph as the teen hugged him mid-torso, hiding her face in his purple front. "Seraphina?"
The adult hesitated a moment, confused as to what the youth could have possibly seen. Neither of the adult angelics had seen anything of threat. Her sniffles and shudders were felt, motivating the male to drape his paws on her shoulders, then moving to give her a light hug. What had startled her so? She was always a spark of energy, now in this curious state of...fear? A glance was given to Sai as she came within hearing range, before attempting to solve this little concern. "Seraphina, what did you see?"

The colorful female sat near the embracing couple. Her ears listened closely to their exchange of words, as well as Seraphina's reactions. At first she figured it was a sob just because it hurt and she was in shock, like a child who stumbled and fell. But seeing things? That wasn't healthy. Unless it was because she hit her head, this could not end well.
Her expression turned more serious. This needed some attention, "What did you see, child?" She asked gently, but seriously.

After a few more moments of sniffling, Seraphina turned her tear stained face up to look at Embry and then to Sai. The teen's ears pinned back as she tried to find the words to describe what she had seen.
"I saw blood... horns and teeth... blue stone. It all came so fast." It was like a mere flash.. an instant.. images had come to her mind images that she had never seen before.. or atleast.. not that she could remember. "And then there was a bright light... and nothing." It probably didn't make much sense to them.. it didn't really make any sense to her either. Seraphina didn't know what to make of it. What did it mean? Her eyes turned down towards the snow for a moment, then looked back up to the adults, hoping they had answers.

Embry continued with the awkward patting of the younger angelic, brushing at her shoulders kindly and occasionally her crest feathers. His face remained placid as he sat there, grateful Sai was there at the same moment to solve this concern. Once Sera was composed enough to explain to the adults.
And his breath held as the angelic before him described what had bothered her so. Blood, and a stone. Those words were enough to have his mind reeling into flashbacks. Flashbacks he didn't want to see. Silver eyes kept away from red ones as he turned to Sai with a frown. "She's remembering." Was it up to them to spur it on with details and meaning? Or let her live oblivious with a new and peaceful path before her? The male looked back down to the girl with a small rub to her shoulders. "Everything is alright now. That much is certain though.."

Sera's feelings echoed off to Sai. The female could feel the distress of the other. These feelings were just like back in their home world when things weren't as peaceful as here. Feelings of the sacred stone, the turmoil and the war. She was afraid this would happen soon, but she didn't want the innocent teenager to remember all of it quite yet. Wouldn't want to spoil a childhood full of mostly peaceful times rather than back home, when war was always tetaring on the edge.
"Worry not, child. I am sure they are nothing," she smiled gently. Her expression remained unchanged as she spoke to Embry, "I must speak with you later, alone." She tried her best to keep a deceptive face. She didn't want Seraphina to worry about this quite yet. They would have to be more careful in the near future. They couldn't decieve her for long, she wasn't dumb or that naive. Kitsus her age are naturally curious, after all.
