Loustearha had wandered for a bit, but still, nothing, mother was no where to be found, and she sighed, dissatisfied with herself, and found herself again wandering back to the borders of the Pridelands. She remembered Shin, who she had met here, and she smiled. Flicking her tail her stripey self made her way into the tall grasses, heading back to where she had come across Shin, hoping he'd be near.
It seemed impossible, to recreate, rekindle the family she once had, but she wished for it, so that she'd no longer have to wander, have to be alone, have to be tired and dream of something that seemed to never be.
She just wanted it back, all back, and she wanted it sooner than later.

It had been a long morning. He had risen with the morning sun to spend the day with his best friend, Totoro. They had spent the morning wrestling, tormenting younger siblings, chasing rabbits from their burrows, and generally running around like a pair of cubs. It had been a wonderful day, a welcome reminiscence of childhood.
They had worn themselves out, and Totoro had returned to the den for a nap (he always had slept alot, even as a pup). Leaving the pridelands safe for the moment from their cubbish antics, Shin'Jougen followed the familiar path to the water hole. He had always enjoyed the water, it had been his favorite place as a cub, the perfect spot to find new friends.
Reaching the water's edge, the lion stretched from paws to tail, toes spreading to feel the grassy earth beneath, a great yawn parting his maw. Lowering his head to take a drink, his thoughts drifted, maybe Totoro had the right idea, a nap sounded nice.

Glitning and drawing her in like a moth to a fame, Loustearha smiled and headed towards the water hole seemingly in a trance, the back of her mind warning her of venturing too far within the lands might provoke others to seek her out and drive her away. But what could a stop for a little water hurt? Flicking her tail she smiled to herself, a bounce in her step, she hadn't had any luck finding her mother, but perhaps when she found Shin, he would know something!
She smiled, yes, maybe he found something she had not.
Silver striped form moving about she tried to stay as silent as she could, approaching the water' edge, she did not notice anything else around her, eyes of blue set on the cool water before her.

He hadn't noticed the lioness, eyes instead captivated by the crystalline water, tail flicking as he watched the fish swim beneath the surface. His thirst satisfied, the dark lion settled on the river bank, reclining in the cool grass, one paw resting in the water, perhaps a tantalizing bait to lure the fish closer.
It was turning into a lazy afternoon. He would rest in the peace of the water hole, watching the fish swim, glittering like silver in the sun, then return to the den to join Tororo in his nap. Perhaps today would be the day that his mane wolf friend at last succeeded in climbing the tree, or at least jumping to the lowest branch.
A small laugh escaped him at the thought, ripples racing across the water away from his paw. Totoro had tried many times to climb the tree, to join his friend in the peaceful boughs of its branches. But canines were not meant to climb as cats were and he had not succeeded yet, but that did not stop him from trying.
His gaze wandered, drifting to the sky, the grasses, back to the reflections on the water. Reflections? Looking up, he spotted the source of that reflection, a familiar form, the striped lioness. He was not sure he had ever expected to see her again or that he was surprised that he had, but she had startled him from his afternoon reverie.
"Oh, hi."

Ears swiveled, and light blue hues peered upwards and a smile spread across her maw, "Shin!" pushing herself to stand she padded over to where he was, he seemed so content by the waters edge, perhaps today was a day for everyone to relax and have a nice day. Nice days, to have many more would be nice, she smiled at the thought.
He was the same as she had remembered, though truth be told, not a lot of time had passed, at least, not an extreme amount of time. His mane was still black and full, eyes still gold like the sun before sunset, yes, just as she remembered, his voice was the same as well, same smooth tone.
"How're you Shin? So nice to see you again!"

"Oh, um.."
He scurried to his paws, rising to at least sit on his haunches, turning to face the lioness. It wouldn't have been inaccurate to say he was nervous, or that he even cared what a girl though of his appearance or behavior. And yet it didn't seem right to simply lay there ignoring her in favor of the fish.
"Did you find who you were looking for?"
He didn't expect her to answer, he doubted that she had, he wasn't even sure that he cared. But there wasn't really anything else to talk about, at least not that came to his mind at that moment. And besides, if she had, then he there would no longer be any reason for him to think or ask about it, not that there really was in the first place.

((My bad luff <3))
Loustearha gave him a soft smile and watched him, she saw him shuffle his paws together, she sat on her haunches and did the same, not to mimic him but, o maybe have him feel at ease? Curling her tail around herself she watched him, watched his golden, orange eyes, and shook her head, blinking her blue eyes, "No, I didn't."
Her ears fell backwards, pressing against her head and she sighed, looking at the ground, "Figures, I feel like I'm so close but, I doubt it now, I kept hoping, but now, heh, Ive wasted so much time," she looked up, rolled her shoulders, "I don't know if I should move on to other things, or hold on still, its hard..."

The lion shrugged, ear flicking at a passing insect.
"If you're meant to find her, I'm sure you will."
That sounded like something Bushido would say, the same 'we were guided together by the moon and the stars' line he had used on Kani. Snort, whatever. If there was one thing certain to ruin his mood, that was it.
He shook his head, clearing the thoughts from his mind. No, was too nice a day to allow thoughts of his sister to pull him back into the brooding mood he had finally shaken. Besides, he was tired of being angry, and she -was- his sister. Not that that meant he had to like it.
"Maybe you're just looking to hard."
Seriously, did she really think there was much of a chance to find what she was looking for? She really needed to just get over and move on...and maybe he should have learned to take his own advice.

"We'll just have to wait and see then," she said with a hopeful smile, hope, always emulated in her smile, her eyes, hope in her heart that one day she'd be able to piece together a fractured puzzle and mend what the past had shattered to bits. Flicking her tail she watched him, quirked a brow, what was he thinking? Hmm.
"Perhaps, I've been so passionate about it I guess I may have tried too hard, I might tr to relax for a bit, take it slow, live life, ya know, enjoy it, not keep running away from those I meet," no, that'd mean she would be leaving just as her mother had left her.
"Know what I mean?"

A brow raised, shooting her a sideways glance. What on earth was she talking about? He had asked a simple question, made a simple statement, so then why did she feel the need to ramble on forever about her life story? Whatever, girls, why couldn't they ever just get to the point.
"I guess."
He shrugged again, tail giving a lazy twitch as he laid back in the grass. It wasn't much of an answer, he didn't really have one, but he had to say something. Otherwise we would just keep rambling about whatever it was she had just finished rambling about, and he wasn't especially in the mood to try to figure out what she was saying.
He certainly didn't mind her company, something that may have seemed odd had he thought about it. But it was a quiet day, a day to relax, couldn't they just do that instead? Relax, yes, she had even said the word, that was what he wanted to do right now.

Loustearha stretched her arms and legs and flopped onto her side, and rolled onto her back, looking up at the clouds passing by. She gave a yawn, but smiled, such a nice day today, such a nice day. Flicking her tail she turned her head sideways to grin at Shin, and patted the grass beside her, "Want to, you know, look at the clouds goin' by..maybe?" she asked softly.
Would be nice to just, sit in each other's company, watch the day go on.
She turned her head back to look up, watching the fluff go on and she smiled to herself, pink nose wriggling, her invitation stood, though she wondered if he might take it.

His own maw parted, tongue curling, a grunted sigh echoing his yawn. A forepaw raised, lazily scratching at one ear, his head falling to rest on his paws. His gaze shift, one eye watching her for a moment, as if debating the question before finally rolling onto his back as well, forepaws resting on his chest, tail flicking lightly amid the grass.
"Alright."
Why not, watching the clouds seemed like a good way to spend the afternoon, much better than pretending to listen to the lioness' ramblings. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, no screaming siblings, no worrying about looking for lost family, just white clouds, blue sky, and warm sun. -This- was how the afternoon should be spent, probably how he would have spent it anyways even if she hadn't suggested it.
"That one looks like a rabbit."
He raised a paw, pointing to the cloud before tucking his paws again. Orange eyes drifted closed, falling to the sleepy spell the sun. Maybe a nap , that sounded like a good idea.

Lous smiled when she saw from the corners of her blue eyes that Shin had rolled onto his back as well, looking up at the clouds, just watching, peering, finding a shape amidst the rolling always changing white masses overhead. She smiled, laughed softly, "Yea, I see it, look, the one next to it looks like its chasing the first one," smiling, she yawned with a soft squeak.
Ears swiveling and resting against her head, she watched, and her eyes started to feel warm, she felt safe here, welcomed. She wished she felt this more often.
Rubbing her back into the grass, settling herself, she closed her eyes, and listened to the soft wind, imagined the clouds passing overhead, saw the two rabbit figures, one chasing the other. She also saw two more, and she smiled with her eyes closed, two lions next to each other, laying back, both with smiles on their maws.
This was how it should be.
