I decided to make this thread because Green_Hellfire and I were starting to drift off on this topic in the "Religious Views" section. Here, you can discuss on whether you think the whole Bible is true, just parts of it is true, or none of it is true.

well rightnow I'm just reading the ginasis so I can't say to much about it but I just hit really confusing and controdicting parts not really lies per say the only lie that has come to my attintion is when we were looking into wither it was ok to be gay or not for my brother we found that it was wrong but at the same time it says that its ok to be as long as your truly in love with the person your with

well it didn't say directly that it was it just said that its ok to be with somone as long as you truely love them and think you can spend the rest of your life with them so yea we just kindof translatied it

I would assume though that it's only talk about male and female relationships. I mean, just because the writer didn't say just male and female specifically doesn't mean that you should pounce on what he didn't say just because it's what you want. That's as bad as what the press does to Presidents. xp

lol hey hey I'm not gay we were doing research for my brother lol but yea I understand that and thats just messed up bt the fact is that the bible is full of things you have to translate so you never truly know if its what its ment to mean or not

Why would we have to translate it? Don't other people translate it for us for a living. That's why there's so many kinds of translations.

he's got a point there. I believe the Bible is true. I don't remember the Bible saying it's ok to be gay. The Bible has been translated for us and is still being translated so that you can understand what it means.

this is true but who is to say that there actully right everyone makes mistakes no one understands everything its just our right as people to try to understnad it as anyone elses we don't have to live by what some other man or woman thinks were we do need to try to live more or less by the bible but the problem with this is how could we when we aren't sure that they make the right translations its a simple consept really

How could they not translate it correctly? It's just as trustworthy as someone trying to translate Japanese. Not to mention, they probably go over they're work multiple times to make sure they translated correctly just in case.

thats a matter of opinion in my case either way each of us have our own beleifs and thoughts so its just my progative to rather translate what I believe instead of others beliefs seeing as no one person has the exact same looks on this subject
