You see, I want to start this topic becuase in my marching band we have had plenty of mishaps and misunderstandings. But, what always seems to make it worse is when the band parents (or booster whatever you call them) get in the way and try to "help" where they shouldn't.
Case in point, at regionals this year we performed a show were two of our colorguard members painted on the field (over a tarp and everything it was actually pretty cool. Anyway moving on...) And as we are getting off the field a few band parents, who shall remain nameless, put all of our flags on the same prop where there was paint. So after the show as we our putting our flags away we all notice black, red, orange, and yellow paint spots all over our flags. Wonderful right?
So yea if you have any lets hear them. I would really like to be able to know that my band isn't the only one with some stupid things happening.

We went to Disney Land for our last trip cuz we competed in the Big Orange Classic. Anyway, the parents who came as chaperones were really bad at it and they kept trying to over-enforce the rules. Our BD made it a big deal about when to get back to the buses when we were at Disney Land, and like three of the band moms made death threats to anyone who was planning on being late. They ended up holding up the entire band an extra 2 hours because they forgot what time we were to leave. The BDs were pretty pissed. I don't think those mothers are comming on another big trip. . . . sweatdrop

There's this one kid in band who really nobody likes... he's kind of a jerk to everyone. So At graduation (our band has to play at the beginning and end, that Pomp and Circumstance or whatever, so we all sit in the back) when his name was read, only a couple of people in the band even clapped for him (even though you're supposed to hold your applause until the end, the band cheers for every band student).
So the next day, his mom (who's one of the leading boosters... she might even be president or something, which is ironic since her son hates band) called in and complained about how the entire band stood up and "boo-ed" for her son. WTF? Our director just kinda apologized and said it won't happen again, which it wouldn't any way because, um, it was GRADUATION!!! ha ha
So yeah there's my story. sweatdrop

During shows one of the band parents drives a four wheeler that has all the bells and stuff on a trailer in the back. Well during one of our major competitions he parked it right on top of three flags. We had to wait ten minutes to start because he had ran to the bathroom and had the key with him!
