I was bored, then this story popped out!
No title
Part 1
The days were all the same, clouds cover the skies, a chilly wind tries and to penetrates five layers of clothing and the double decker bus crashed into a lamppost. I wish I had caused it rather than being in the midst of it. I paid no attention to the sudden jerks or the random, confused shouts from moronic passengers. I dwell on my own thoughts and stories. I had no cares for this mundane world.
The next thing I knew I, quiet pathetically, glance out the window with insensitive eyes, to see the roads were empty, like a Peter Andre concert, yet this stupid bus driver manages to risk all our lives trying to squeeze a six foot wide bus between a lamp post and a garden gate of four foot.
I sigh to myself, continuing to ignore the moronic, now screaming passengers, and carried myself downstairs to see what was wrong with the gaffer. I stood in front of the old, white, female driver, running my lazy eyes over her dazed face.
"You alright?"
Stupid question for a stupid situation, but the ill-concerning phrase seemed programmed into my mind. She turns to me. Her neck looked like it needed greasing, but her movements were smooth.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." She mumbles.
"What the hell's wrong with you!" What can I say! I'm British! Manners died with chivalry! "You, tryin' to get us all killed?"
Those were the words that shook her back to the boorish bus driver that she was. It made me feel comfortable but equally worried.
"Listen little girl," I rose my eyebrow feeling insulted. "I know what I'm doing."
Do you, I thought. Like the weather that past through on this tiny island, her eyes seemed to bore into my eyes, into my thoughts, to hear my wit. I watch cautiously as her saggy hand pops into her pocket. She opens the door that keeps her safe from passengers and looks at me with evil intent.
I can say that her grey eyes leer at me to a point were I am frozen to my spot. I wasn't scared, at least I don't think I was, but my heart knocked against my chest like a mad man bashing a door down. The next thing I know the driver blows a blue, glittery powder in my face. That was it, my wit died, my cool posture shattered and I collapse on the floor. The last thing I feel is my head hitting the filthy rail...
to be continued. eek

that is great...of course, I was first intrigued by the title, which appears to a play on the title of my favorite book series... which just hit theaters as a movie, which I just got back from seeing... Great little movie... go see it, and also read the books if you haven't already... 3nodding
I personally liked the simile about the roads being as empty as a peter andre concert....not that i have ANY idea who that is, but its funny whee

If you wanna know who Peter A. is, go on to yahoo. co.uk, click music and click videos and click one of his videos. He tried to make a come back this year...

Firstly, I have to say, I LOVE the Peter Andre concert simile! xd biggrin
*carries on reading and gets to the other comments* Lol, seems I'm not the only one who thinks that! xd
It's an interesting story, because of the somewhat irregular (in my opinion) characters - i.e. the fact that the main character doesn't seem fazed at all by the fact that she's just been involved in an accident; and the bus driver.
I both love it and hate it when stories are left on cliffhangers - love it because I think it's a great way of ending, but hate it because I want to know what happens next, and I'm a pretty impatient person! sweatdrop
On the whole, I like it and I'll definitely be reading the continuation!
