As a member of the Kendo team, Yu Ishta was a more friendly person to people outside the team. She was open towards the thought of the K.A.T.A.N.A. Project. Thought at first, many people did not agree with the fact that students were allowed to carry swords around the school, but Yu would change all that. Yu was always helpful, even to those whom seemed they didn't need it. The one person that thought that would never get help was Taosho Byukada...
Taosho's depression overides all. No one didn't want to be with him at all. No one cared, that was his philosophy. His parents didn't like him. He was lucky enough to get a peep out of them. It wasn't that they weren't social, it was because he was so distant and they were so careless. Taosho drifted in the school, around people who had friends, who were social, who were popular, who had someone that cared about them. The endless drifting wouldn't stop. One sunny morning, Yu was on her way to the gym to acompany the Kendo Team. It was her turn to find recruits. In the freak miracal, Taosho thinks he should go home early, no one would care; At the very same time, Yu had thought the exact same thing, being the cool and relaxed person she was. She was number six in her calibur, she was basically the leader. That day was when they had met, accidently bumping into eachother. Taosho did a sorry job on hiding his emotions, and Yu...she was just a good person.

At first, Taosho thought of Yu as a little preppy girl that loved to talk. But it was actually true, except the preppy part anyways. Yu liked Taosho in many ways. He was handsome, he was sad, he looked defeated, whichwas perfect for Yu to test her wil of helping others. But she grew more into him as she found out more about him. Taosho picked up her love for him when the first kiss came along. A feeling he hadn't felt before...love.
That kissed completely changed Taosho's life. He began to hang out with her more, Yu staying with him where ever he went. Even when he was alone, she'd come to him. They both would end the day by sitting on the bridge, watching the sunset and the orange glow hitting the water...Their love would change the both of them for the best.

On Yu's birthday, turning 18, Taosho was late for school. Yu was on her way to Taosho's house. She had been skipping for a while, but had gotten tire before she had arrived to his home. When she stepped on the door mat in front of the door, she shouts, "Taosho!" She knocked twice. She waited for a bit and thought to herself with an expression of exaughtion, "(He's going to be the death of me..." she sighed. She waited a bit longer, patiently, humming the song that Taosho had sung for her a while back, "The Endless Drifter"; a song that tells about a man seeking love and finds it after he dies. Taosho opens the door and comes to his surprise, "Oh, Yu! I didn't know you were-" Yu interrupts, "We're late for school, Taosho! Come on!" She pulled on his arm, whiney and whimpering. He'd laugh everytime she whined and whimpered, "Hahaha! Okay, okay. We'll go. But can we stop by the Arcade Market for a bit. I have to get something." Yu looked up as they started walking, then she turned her head to Taohso with a question on her face, "Huh?...". Taosho looks down towards her and smiles, "A surprise." he waved his finger in front of her, poking her nose. Yu grunted, but loved surprises, so she simply leaned her head against Taosho's head, with the feeling of delight in her mind.
"Taosho's changed...a lot. I like him this way..." Yu was right. He had changed a lot. And it was thanks to her. The Arcade Market was almost empty; because it was school hours and business wasn't exploding...just yet. Taosho looked around, scanning for the perfect gift for Yu's 18th birthday. "Lets see....Ah! Here we go!" Taosho pulled Yu, tugging at her arm a bit. "What is it-...Wooooow!" Yu gasped as she laid her eyes upon a store full of magnificent gifts and nick nacks, Yu's favorite. But it wasn't that she wanted them, she just liked looking at them. If anything, she'd give the give away to someone else, out of thought anyways. Taosho's gift wasn't anything she'd want to give up. Glass lotus flower, green with birlliance and bright with total awe. It was a player, a simple non electronic one that played The Endless Drifter. As she opened the lotus's petals, the song played a light and soothing noise to the rythm of the song. "Happy Birthday." Taosho said in a low tone having his nose rubbing hers and his forehead so close to hers. Yu was felt blessed, feeling like she did when He first sung the Endless Drifter.

On the sunset of their first date, Taosho sings The Endless Drifter to Yu, showing his love for her. That was when the first time Yu ever felt loved by Taosho. That song meant a lot to her. It was the first sign that Taosho was changing into a different person. One that can be loved by all. Especially Yu. Taosho made up the song, inspired by someone he loved so dearly...
