As one of Merlin's only apprentices, I would be glad to share my knowledge of alchemy and early magic. Now where'd my carpet bag go...

So, is this a guild for fans of FMA, or is it about actual, historical alchemy?

This guild is for any and all who study the ancient art of alchemy.

Hello. My name is Kyro and my life basically consists of Full Metal Alchemist and Alchemy. Because of the anime, I've started studying the science of Alchemy on my own and have found a lot of interesting things that intertwine with the manga and anime. I look forward to share my knowledge with you all.

Hello, I love almost all things occult. heart

Let's see, I've read Three Books of Occult Philosophy by Henricus Cornelius Agrippa, and I'm very interested in Enochian magic and dreams. XD I also own a Oujia board, and after a particularly unfortunate event that happened afterwards, I have not attempted it since. sweatdrop

Alchemy has always interested me too, especially what they call the elixir of life.

Please do, share your knowledge. Many things do intertwine with actual historical alchemy, and FMA.

It surprises me that alchemy would be assosciated with the occult... It was one of the first sciences, existing in the time of Egypt and ancient Greece. While it's true that some whacko alchemists assosciated the chemical reactions and changes - entitled transmutation - with magic, that was hardly the norm.

Well, anywho. I've loved alchemy for a long time, though it wasn't until the Philospher's Stone became famous through Harry Potter that I really got to digging through the history. When FMA came out, it was just another treat.

By the way, definitely stay away from oijia boards... More people get possessed through those things than people would like to admit. Unless you've got either a phenomenal relationship with God or a deathwish, approach the occult with extreme caution >< Even observing someone else doing something with the occult is enough to get you possessed.

How very right you are Seth on your point concerning the occult. I dabbled in the ouija board when I was a youngster, only because our mother had one in the house and it freaked us out when we tried it, so we never played with it again.

I do believe in possession and demons, but I dont think I could be possessed by a board with letters on it. sweatdrop

That board with letters on it is used with the intention of contacting the dead. Unfortunately, the 'dead' that are contacted aren't human souls, but demons. To think that a demon doesn't have the power to possess someone through the use of ordinary things is just over-confidence. It's like going on a roller coaster without a safety bar or harness, thinking nothing can harm you. Sure, you might not be possessed by just touching one, but to sit down and use one, or even to sit in the same room and watch it being done, opens up your soul to the possibility of possession.

There have been cases of possession where the child of a woman who brought in psychics and witchdoctors to perform magic or voodoo was possessed simply from being in the room when this stuff was done.

How are you sure theyre demons and not of the dead? Do you have frequent contact with such forces? confused

On a different note, could someone please help me understand where my experiment went wrong. I was not expecting a blue blob with eyes and a mouth to appear on my head when I started mixing things in this beaker. I really have to find another book.
