Last year we had some really sko-ish ones.. One leg was red, the other was black, and in the chest area it was divided up into 6 squares.. A couple black ones, a couple red ones, and a couple white ones.. One from each group was made from leather.. And then there were 3 spaghetti straps on each side that criss-crossed in the back. Flattering, yes.. But sko-ish.. Everything was velvet.. My guard seems to have an obsession with velvet...
This years uniforms are a crimson and peach colour. You've got two stripes in the front that are pink with shimmery stuff in it, and one sleeve is the same colour and it's a flared sleeve. On the other side it cuts off like a tank-top and we've got an armband in the crimson colour. Then the legs are crimson, and one is flared, and the other is like a legging. Actually kinda pretty.. Even if it is a bad description..

Oof! You lucky lucky people! Getting new guard uniforms every year. Our school is poor lol. We keep our uniforms the same every year and buy replacements when they get to the point of no return (meaning our band parents can't possibly sow them back together). But I guess I can't complain since they are fairly nice uniforms.

Our uniforms are all black (lots of color variety right? lol). And of course, they're dresses as well. I think they're actually jazz uniforms. The top is long sleeve black velvet with sequins sewn on in pretty patterns and the bottom is a sort of cheapy satin material that I can't think of the name for. The cut is kind of flattering. It's a V neck that extends all the way out to the arms so that it looks like the dress is just hanging off of you and it's a bare back. Of course, it's not really. It has that skin colored mesh stuff on it. Sometime I'll see if I can upload one of my pictures to show you guys.

our band director told our coach that theyre all red, like a separate top (NO MORE LEOTARDS! YUSSSS!) and palazo pants. if the palazo pants are anything like the ones i amost bought from hollister, then i'll be happy ^^

and theyre not mickey gloves (although that would be hilarous....we're going to disney world for spring trip! x3) theyre the same thin white gloves that the euphoniums and drum majors use!

but they havent come in yet. the guard mom told us yesterday that if the pants dont come in by group photos next friday, then we have to wear the old uniforms.....i dont know how to feel about that.....last year our uniforms weren't exactly ready....see, we removed the straps of the black sparkly so it would work like a tube top and have red sleeves, but there was no way we could think of then to keep them up....so we had to walk around with the tops being held up with our hands/armpits.....i hope we dont have another wardrobe malfunction this year XD

xd You want wardrobe malfunction? I've got two for you. One: My first year... we did a Beach Boys theme sweatdrop and we ended up marching in a blizzard wearing khaki shorts and hawaiian shirts... very cold. Two: Last year when I did my lift... wearing a dress... lets just say that the audience got a LOT of free shows crying

yeeech. i hate my uniform. the top is nice.

BUT the bottom. oh wow. its the same material as this weird lining in the tops....

and the reds dont match.

it balloons around the front.

baggy....hardly anyones actually fit right

and the legs are f-ed up on most peoples.

i envy the girls who's uniforms actually fit right.

and then we had group photos today.

homan. no. i am so not wearing that to the football games.

i hope it's muddy every game so we can wear the tops with jeans.

and only wear the uniform pants at competitions.

i hate them. darn my BD.
