NUS is still pretty good, especially for undergrad and business studies. For research it still has a way to go. I used to work there, it was fun xd
The story behind the drop in rankings is kind of funny. This year the Times people who do the survey said that professors aren't allowed to rank their own universities. As a result universities in Singapore and Malaysia took very big drops.
