Taking a page out of the Iron Kingdoms full metal fantasy game, I'm going to start up a steampunk based campaign.

Campaign-specific items and classes will be avaliable, including pistols, rifles, steamjacks, dark-vision goggles, and gun mages.

If anyone is interested, let me know, and I'll post some more info.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W298QY9K for the character guide for the Iron Kingdoms.

Party Size: 3-5

Starting Level: 3

All books are open, but I'd like to know in advance which books everyone plans on using.

Background info:

The world, commonly called Teratheal, is divided into four major Kingdoms: Earth, Mithral, Adamantine, and Steam.

Thorock, the Earth Kingdom, is home to the dwarves and gnomes of Teratheal, as well as the lesser races of stone. Moradin, the capital city, lies settled into the side of a great mountain range, separating the Mithral and Adamantine Kingdoms. It is here that the first machines were built.

Asiris, the Mithral Forest, is the realm of the elves, halfling, and other races of the wild. Their magical abilities run rampant, causing the lush forest in which they live to grow rapidly out of control, constantly threatening to overrun their city of Elhala. It is here that the magics of Teratheal sprung forth.

Cromin, the Adamantine Desert, is by far the largest kingdom. It is the home of the monstrous races and people of Teratheal, from barbaric humans to the brutish orcs. Hundreds of miles across a barren desert, it is a constant fight for survival for the many tribes. It is here that weapons were crafted and mastered.

Fuerte, the Steam Metropolis, is the largest city the world has ever known. Though a primarily human settlement, all races can be seen entering and leaving the city. Fuerte is not actually one large city, but the combination of hundreds of smaller ones constantly growing closer as populations increase and technology provides more and more opportunities. It is here that the innovations of the other kingdoms were combined to create the first Machanika.

As far as length of campaign was concerned, I was thinking probably mid length, maybe 5-8 total adventures.

As far as party size, I was thinking 2-6. I can start with two (my friend plans on joining this guild soon, and he'll be part of it), and it's easy to add people in randomly throughout the campaign.

I plan on posting a link to either the character manual for the classes and weapon info for the pistols and rifles, as well as a good bit of of extra equipment.

That sounds really fun, but I'm unfamiliar with that d20 variant. Please post rules, and I'll probably be all up for joining.

Well, for the most part I'm only adapting some of the rules for a more basic DnD experience. There's still going to be all the base classes, and none of the IK pudding (except for the advent of steam technology in one of the Kingdoms). I'll post the book later tonight, but the only things allowed from it are the classes, spell list, Cyriss, and gear as of now.

looking good. May I ask that you make the player limit 5 at least as I like smaller parties but not tiny parties.

I'll have my character up by tomorrow.

I'm going with a Rogue or a Cleric (Cyriss). You guys?

Awesome, man. When everyone posts their characters we'll get started.

Are the races and race variants allowed to be used? What about races from other books?

Everything is available to play as, but remember that there are some negative consequences to being a half-ogre or other monstrous race. Most fey are okay, but have too high of a level adjustment. I have Savage Species, but I prefer if you didn't take any monster classes. But if you feel you just couldn't play unless you were a minotaur, then go ahead.

I'm having trouble with that website. The only computers I have don't have the required program to open the download. Is there any other way I could get the info?
