so Does anyone have any really cool floor designs this year for winterguard? or maybe a funny story about their "floor" experiences?

kinda like that(well it was) but now its black and white stripes in like weird directions and stuff its cool

so today was the first day of cleaning and whatnot only seven people came to it -_- i nearly painted the entire floor myself and we have a world class size floor but it was pretty fun we had music and some people were taking pictures and stuff like that for the website but all in all it was exhausting ;_; soooo tired

but yeah please share biggrin

This winter season were putting black polka-dots on a white floor =]

sounds really cool biggrin funny thing we spray painted the letters of the first design to use as a practice floor then we ending up not only changing the show(and the floor) but also we didn't get a new one so we had to paint over it -_- spray paint is difficult to cover up lol

but yeah please share biggrin

that is the awesomnest floor ever. we get all the drumline hand me downs and no funding so not only is our floor heavy, it is also ugly and doesn't match our show... crying but it was sewn every two steps so its good for our sets.

Seems there are alot of other schools that don't get much funds, we were lucky this year cause we got a new floor, but it was out of neccesity. Our floor from before was given to us by Chino, so by it's last use it had about 7-9 coats of paint on it, really hard for 12 guard members to fold....

ours was supposed to be a beach type thing.

When i was in 6th grade (but i didn't join till 8th) our MS did "King of Pain" so they had a big yellow "sun" with blue sponged-stripes, and in 7th they did a remix of "Material Girl" and had black and pink stripes and in 8th grade we did a wierd gypsy song and had a middle rectagle of purple and it got darker as it went out and it looked all smudged because we kept having to put baby powder on it to keep the paint from sticking an peeling.....but then I get to high school and we get a brand new floor so we and the drumline have separate floors....and then we don't paint it...at all...so we have 4 colors to choose from: white, grey, dark-ish tan, and "champagne"...very boring...especially after bright purple...lol

ours is gonna be black and white checkers with a black and white bird flying through it. the song is feeling good by michael buble and its ******** amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mine goes to details in the fabric by jason mraz, and or tarp is going to have a lot of pastel colors and it has pieces that'll be hidden beneath other ones and we'll eventually pull out other pieces of tarp that are underneath to make a patchwork quilt kind of look.

We put it underneath our actual floor to prevent it from scratching the gym when we did sabre sets lol
