Story
The story of Riki starts in summer time. Riki was born as the son of the beautyful Yamabuki and the famous bearhound, Shiro. When Riki was only one month old, the great bearhound trainer Takeda Gohei cam by to choose a new hunting dog. But he didn't choose Riki. Insted he took one of his brothers away.
Riki was soon the only puppy left and no body wanted him. In the end, he stays with the family he was born into while his mother was givin back to her old owner. Riki was a brave puppy and walked in the mountain in daytime to seek out adventures. One day he meets a group of dogs who beat him up and leave him to die. Next day Riki wakes up by the sound of another dog. He looks up and sees his father Shiro. They talk for a while and Riki understands that he should be brave and strong no matter what happens. For those are the qualities of a true bearhound.
He now starts to eat and train more to become stronger. One day when he is out running he sees a small boy (Daisuke) on a bicycle. The boy drives around a corner and is now on collision course with a truck. Riki jumps in to safe him and pushes him away and down a ditch. As Daisuke wakes up he looks right up in the face of an evil adult dog. The dog starts to rip his clothes apart. Riki rushes to help and starts fightning with the much stronger dog so Daisuke can get away. After some time a gunshot is heard. The fighting dogs stops and looks to a hill. It is Daisuke who has returned with Takeda Gohei and Shiro! As the dogs see Shiro they run away in fear.
The summer past by and the winter came. One day Takeda Gohei hears of a terrible murder in the mountains. He takes Shiro and some other hunters and hunting dogs with him. Riki see them drive away and decides to follow. He follows the tracks for sometime until he hear the sound of fighting dogs. He rushes to the scene and finds Takeda Gohei wounded on the ground and his father Shiro struggeling to kill a giant bear. It is Akakabuto!
Riki sees that Gohei has lost his riffle and quickly he gets it for him. Gohei can hardly stand out, but finally he succed in firing a shot which destroys the bear's left eye. Akakabuto now starts walking backwards towards an edge. Riki screams and wants to help his father, but he father tells him to stay away. Akakabuto falls from the cliff and takes Shiro with him. Riki never saw his father again.
Out Of Hatered Riki Goes And Trains To Avenge His Father.He Goes On A Journey And Meets Dogs He Will Never Forget. But Theres Someone Out To Kill Him And Start A Battle, Their Name Is Razor. Join Riki On His Quest For Power, Guidence, Strenth And Courage. Or be With Razor, Bloodthirsty And Wanting Wars Non-Stop.

Yambuki Lifted Her Head To Get A Clear Veiw Of Riki, The Morning Light Was Shining On Him And His Fur Glowed. Riki Had Come To See Her Before He Left, Since Yambuki Is Riki's Mom. She Didn't Want To Disturb The Peaceful Moment But Riki Had To Leave Before Lunch Or he Wont Get An Early Start On His Adventure Back Home.
Yambuki Never Knew That Riki Was Leaving For His Big Quest To Avenge Shiro.

Riki Yawned, Feeling The Nice Bright Light Shinning On Him Making Him Warm. He Got Up Looking In to The Sun Realizing That It Was Mid Afternoon, "Ah!, Mother I'm Off" Riki Said Running Out Of The House. Riki Forgot To Eat And Was Pretty Hunger, He Had Stopped By The Lake Side To Drink. But He Looked Up To See A strange Looking Sort Of Dog Up Ahead. "Hello?"He Asked "Who Are You?"

Riki Got Up And Followed The Fox That Was Carrying The Rabbits, "Hey, Wait Up" He Called After Her. She Was Pretty Fast And Swift, Maybe She Knew Who Akakbooto Was.... And Maybe Even Help Her. When Rii Had Caught Up With Her He Saw Deadly Looking Foxes Growling Angryly At Him For Stalking Their Leader.
