Fe-lix n. [fee-liks]
-a male given name: from a Latin word meaning "Happy, Lucky"

Welcome!

My name is Cherry, and I am Felix's Chronicler.

Before I can tell you a bit more about Felix, you might be curious as to what a chronicler is!

We chroniclers exist on three different planes of existence.

Our main lives take place in the real world, a world of logic, ruled by science. The world we are all familiar with.

Our life as chroniclers also takes place in two different places though. Most of Gaia is what we consider OOC. A place not in the real world, yet not in the story world either.

The last, most important aspect of our lives take place in the story world.

We chroniclers are also known as role-players, and in the story world, we each are assigned our own character(s) and we are to record their stories.

But there was always the one golden rule, a rule I often find myself almost breaking: We must not ever interfere in the stories of our characters. We merely record Destiny's course, but we are not allowed to alter it.

I have to admit, Felix is far older then I, and I have not started chronicling him until recently. His former Chronicler had perished when he saved Felix's life at Lycia. That is against the code of Chroniclers, so he is no more. But I have to honestly say, there are times I wish I could rescue my characters as well.

I have gathered together the many tomes Felix's past chronicler had written, and I have assembled them together. I will pick those of most importance and post them here, so that Felix's past will be unveiled.

The process will be slow though, there are many, many papers on the life of this extraordinary man, and it will take me some time to sort through it all.

But be patient, for I'm sure Felix's past is a wonderful story indeed.

---

What's with all of this Chronicler thing you ask?

An old role-play I made a long time ago about role-players in a fantasy sense 3nodding

OOC is basically a world based completely off our imaginations, and we are able to change our form at will in order to blend in when chronicling our Characters.

And the fact we are forbidden to alter our character's story does contradict with real role-playing, but that little detail's always been there, and helps to explain when characters are older then yourself 3nodding

Characters can exist in several worlds at once, including OOC. While in OOC, the character know everything about Chroniclers and the like, but within their own stories, they only know what they are suppose to know in that story world.

I know its kinda confusing, but that's only for the first post XP The rest will just be Felix's story m'kay?

This is the first of the papers I could find. There doesn't seem to be any paper dating before Felix's birth, but I do suspect that Felix's chronicler wasn't Felix's parent's chroniclers.

Anyways, this was a long and complicated start, so I'll just skip a little, over to after when Felix was a few years old, when his parents finally decided he was old enough to survive out in the wild, living the life of a ranger.

Personally, I find it kind of crazy to take a little kid into the Forests of Irelle, but Rylina'sil and Tialir are capable warriors.

Another note, I've rewritten all of the contents, that will explain why everything seems so much to be my own style of chronicling. The original was written on elven.

One last note, Tialir's name is actually pronounced Tyler. His parents were just weird, giving him that odd spelling 0.o

Well, since they are peasants, perhaps they didn't know how to spell it properly...

A spark of Happiness

A indefinite article. [e]
-not any particular or certain one of a class or group

Spark n. [spahrk]
-a trace of life or vitality

Of prep. [uhv]
-used to indicate derivation, origin, or source

Happiness n. [hap-ee-nis]
-the quality or state of being happy.
(Happy-characterized by or indicative of pleasure, contentment, or joy)

I have written down the story of many during my career as a chronicler. But one of the one thing I can never get over is when those characters I have come to understand so well perish. I shall never forget Ziron, the brave shade who overcame the spirit that took control of him. Nor will I ever forget Nycaro, the brave knight who died for his country.

Both had died in this world, this world I am to chronicle again. My new character had been born a few years ago, and unfortunately, my records of those first two years were destroyed in a recent fire.

Serves me right for not writing a backup...but here is his story, starting from this turning point in his life, when his parents finally decided to take him out to the wilds of Irelle, to train him in the ways of a Ranger, and not only how to use a sword, but when.

"Mother, are you sure Fi will be alright?"

A young boy sat at the back of the saddle, happily taking in the scene around him. He didn't seem like he had seen more than 7 years, and his face was marked by childish innocence and enthusiasm. Dark brown hair framed his round face, bringing out startling golden eyes. This and his slightly pointed ears marked the fact he was part elf.

The man sitting at the front of the saddle scowled, even though the boy could not see.

"Auria, don't call yer brother that. It's Felix, when are ye ever going t'start using his proper name?" The man was tall and strong, a bow across his back and a quiver full of arrows belted at his right waist, a slender sword at his left. Messy brown hair constantly annoyed the man, shifting in front of his left eye, but he had learnt long ago that it was no use fighting with it. Push the hair aside, and it'll just fall right back down. His wife had suggested that he get a haircut, but he didn't want to. His long hair was in the style common from where he came from. And though he never wanted to go home ever again, the constant reminder of who he was comforted him somehow.

"That's not fair dad! Fi always calls me Aury. He'll never cut it out! What if I started calling ye Ti? Ye wouldn't like it either!"

The man shook his head, a smile tugging at the edge of his lips. Auria never did like Felix much. He'll grow into it though.

"Hey Tialir! Where are you going? You passed the fork!" A melodic voice cut through the man's thoughts and he looked around. A beautiful woman sat on her own road-worn horse, her shoulder framed by silvery locks. And the same golden eyes as her eldest son.

Sitting behind the women, slept a young child, strapped into the saddle to prevent him from falling off. That was Felix.
