Chakra are the energy nodes in ones body. You might have heard of them, more recently, from Naruto or Avatar: the last airbender.

Here I hope to shine a bit of light on these centers of energy for those who've not dealt or read up on them before.

There are, commonly believed, Seven Chakra in the Body. Not Thousands like in Naruto.

These Seven Points, from head to toe, are as follows.

Crown: at the very top of your head
Third Eye: between your eyebrows
Throat: in the center of your throat, for a man behind the adam's apple
Heart: in the center of your chest
Solar Plexus: just beneath your rib cage
Belly: just above your naval
Root: at the base of your spine

These Seven Centers of energy control alot of your senses, physical or psychic.

(Ack, that will have to do for now.)

I usually think of them as going from bottom to top. That said, here are the colors, in that order:

Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

Now, remember ROYGBIV in science? 3nodding Then there you go^^

Also, there are smaller, less significant chakras at the wrists and ankles. I see these as white-blue together. But, that is also what I consider to be my personal color (also the color of protection, get THAT! w00t!).

Does anyone else follow my theory? Are the chakras at the wrists/ankles YOUR colors?

I'm not certain what my colors are either, Ryuu. However, I wear rose quartz on me at all times. Necklace, and earrings, and soon hopefully I'll have a set of rose quartz runes to carry with me.

Do any of you own crystals? In my massage therapy class, my instructor brought hers in and each of us took a turn holding a crystal for a partner, then having it held for us to see which chakras were open at the time. Seems I only had two, and one quite wide. My heart chakra. Which, thinking back, shouldn't have been a surprise. My root was completely closed, which wasn't unexpected in the least given how hard a time I have grounding myself. My connection to the earth is nil. I'm a fire and air person.

I use a method I found in a book, might post the title and author later too lazy to get up. xp

The method, basically, is visualizing the chakra and their colors, and then dimming the light from those chakra. Basically turning it down. You might visualize your heart chakra and dim it till it is almost, or completely, gray.

Where were y'all 6 years ago? Lol, I've been interested in chakras, but haven't taken time out for them yet. Thanks for the basics, y'all. Now massage, on the other hand, has been a main interest of mine for a while. I have a small bit of knowledge in Acupressure, and a little bit in Aromatherapy. I'm somewhat intuitive in these areas, but my growth his hindered due to lack of practice.
