This takes place twenty years in the future of Konoha. Tsuande, most of the Jounin, and the ANBU had gone off to fight a war. That was five years ago; none of the people that went to fight came back, and those that did died of their wounds. Without a hokage or ANBU squad the Leaf village is vulnerable to attacks. Who are you in Konoha at this time? A school teacher that had stayed behind, one of the few older ninja that stayed behind to help protect Konoha, a child who's alone in the world? Akiko walked down the street hands in her pocket. Her brothers had died in the was and so had her dad. all that was left was her mom. she hated her mom, and her mom hated her. "good thing I don't have to see her anymore" Akiko muttered looking down at the street.

Akiko looked up startled that someone else was on the street "Oh...Ohaya Kei-sama" she said walking up to her "What are you doing out on the streets this early?"

"Oh!" akiko said, laughing a little "Are you the only one on patroll?"She asked "Do you want some help?"

"Ok!" she said and smiled as she fell into step besides Kei

Akiko looked at Kei, then back down at the street. My mom is fighting in the war as well. she hates me because of my....abnormality, I guess you could say, so she doesn't care what I do. I wanted to get out and feel the air after it rains. The air smells good after it rains"she said

Yuuki was watching the borders again. She hated doing this job. Nobody ever came within five miles of the village anymore. Yuuki thought to herself, wondering what everyone else was doing. She hasn`t seen one of her friends in ten years. She sighed, then went back to watching the unmoving borders.

The two of them finished the patrol with no problem. Kei turned to Akiko. I am going to visit the memorial stone, do you want to come?"
